Distortion,

Welcome to our little corner of insanity. We don't have a list of bad sellers here (although you may find references to a few). However, we do maintain a list of good ones. It is a "sticky" at the top of this forum.

Distortion,

I looked at Admiral's site and was underwhelmed. I have never done business with them, so I can't give any feedback on service. I can say that they are masters of walking the fine line of misleading, but not outright lying. Describing a knife from Taiwan as a "godfather stiletto" is not as bad as claiming it was made in Italy, but you get the implication. The prices were on the high side, but typical for this type of site.

When you say guild around serious knife people only one thing comes to mind and that is The Knifemakers Guild. If your a guild member then your a proficient and talented custom knifemaker.

SQUAIT? Isn't that what happens when you eat too much cheese and are out of X-Lax?

Sometimes the medicine I take for pain causes me SQUAIT too.

Also, in the USA, the use of the word "GUILD" is often used in the same sentence describing lisping male members of the antique collecting hobby, florists, hairdressers, interior designers and men who can adequately describe the color "MAUVE."

Always here to set the record STRAIGHT.

"men who can adequately describe the color "MAUVE."

I'm safe, I can't even be sure how to pronounce it.

Back when the earth was still cooling, I used to be a claims adjuster....in all places.....Key Weird Florida. There is a large hairdresser contingent there.

While surveying interior water damage in a rather ornately decorated home, a heated discussion arose between the two male occupants concerning WHICH color of MAUVE should be used to repaint the foyer.

I garantee you, there is nothing FUNNIER than sitting on the sidelines and watching something like that unfold. I finally started counting the use of the word BITCH - 9 occurances within 12 minutes. There were no females in the building, LOL!
