Shur-Snap display card
Here is an original Shur-Snap display card from the 1950s. I am certain the knives have been on the card since the 50s. The handles of the knives even have rub marks from being on the card for so long. Other than the wear on the back handles, the knives are mint. The 1950s were before my time, but I would bet almost every hardware and sporting goods store had these on display.

That's awesome! I have an old Shur-Snap just like the maroon-handled one on the upper left and two on the bottom, but mine's in pretty rough shape.

Re: Shur-Snap display card
I well remember those cards when I was a kid, every hardware store had them, prices per knife were from $1.19 to a $1.98 depending on the store, they wouldn't sell to us kids but we always found someone that was old enough to buy one for us when we had the money damn, hindsight is always 20/20
Polish a knife, cook a pig, drink several beers

Most impressive, an original in that condition!! Why it looks to be in better condition than some of the modern reproductions.

Re: Shur-Snap display card
My aunt & uncle had a general store in Fredonia Kansas, where I grew up.
They had this same display up high on a shelf, in 1957.
I wanted one of those so bad...... They never gave me one.....of course, I was 7 years old then.
Still wanting them today.....things never change!
