Frank B's 2007 9" Picklock Reproduction Knives
Hi everyone,
In 2007, Frank Beltrame produced a limited set (150) of picklock knives that were based on the classic designs used in the 1950's. I have three of the four handle types (I'm missing the stag blade) and I wondered if anyone here is familiar with this run of Frank's knives. Are there 150 pieces total, or are the pieces divided among the different handle types? These are wonderful knives--the ears are brass-lined (my favorite) and if you haven't guessed, I'm searching for the stag-handled blade from this collection.
Any information you can offer about these knives would be much appreciated.

Now for my question: What year are you talking about because Frank did several Limited Edition runs.
I had a Frank B Limited Edition 9" kriss/stag/nickel bolstered red dot from 2005.
Not sure but I was thinking mine was from a lot of 60.(I really don't remember)
Some guy in a Packard beat me up and took it

My limited knives are stamped "2007 Limited Edition." They're all picklocks, with brass pins and liners and brass-lined ears, and nickel/silver bolsters. The spine on these knives is 3.5 mm, which is more than enough to open them in the style to which we are accustomed (forcefully and very quickly).
Let's find that guy in the Packard and get your knives back!

Hey Cragar,
love your youtube vids!
please show more.
I hope you find the knife your looking for.
If you could post a pic, I'd like to see the difference between the said "2007 Limited Edition" (re-production of the 50's design), and a classic Frank B. if you can't, no sweat.

Hi guys i (Folgore Knives USA ) am the owner of the 1950's style (rounded bolster- not flatguard) 9" picklocks from Frank Beltrame our first run was in 2005 with 100 pieces total numbered in blackhorn, blondhorn and stag handles all with signed certificates and stamped (Limited Edition 2005) on front tang and ( Frank B. Italy ) on back tang , our second run was in 2007 with 150 pieces total in blackhorn, blondhorn, stag, imitation ivory, and Brazilian horn handles these also came with signed certificates, 100 of these came with the (Limited Edition 2007- Frank B & BEF Italy) stamp with signed certificates and 50 came with only (Frank B-Italy) stamp and did not come with certificate. hope this info helps

Excellent picture, Viking. The 2007 series are of the same high quality. Bernie, I think we need a new series for 2011!

Definitely put me down for one or two. Like to have another stag/kriss and a dark horn bayo.Cragar wrote:Excellent picture, Viking. The 2007 series are of the same high quality. Bernie, I think we need a new series for 2011!
