Rivets

Post by skr100 »

I have a 9" SKM with simulated stag handles. I would like to try and make my own and replace the simulated stag ones. Where can I purchase all the different rivets necessary to reassemble the knife after I completely disassemble it?

Yeah! I'd like to know the answer to that one too. Where do you get the little brass buggers?

I believe the pins are metric sized. Buy the next larger American size at a Hobby Shop if you can't find metric sized ones and have them turned down on a lathe to the metric size.

Vagrant,

There's got to be an easier way. Do you think skm would part with some pins? I guess I could ask 'em.

Usually, we do not sell parts. However, if you just need a few for replacement, that will be no problem. Just as support@skm.to.

You can also try http://WWW.TALONMAN1.COM, i have used some of their rivets on american autos. They had the screw type rivets and regular.

Yo skr100,

Try these URLs. I've gotten good service from both of them in the past.

http://www.texasknife.com

http://www.jantzsupply.com

Good luck,
