Looking for info on Boker leverlock

Post by mikechris »

Hello all,
I am looking for info on a knife that I own. It says "SPRINGER" on the bottom side of the knife, and on the blade it says "H.W.BOKER SOLINGEN".
thanks to all.

Are you sure the marking is "H.W. Boker?"
If so, it is possible the knife dates from the 1920-1930 era.
More likely, it was made between 1950-1958.
Are there any other markings on the blade, and can you post a close-up picture of the Boker stamping?

There was one on Bob's auction over a year ago with the same stamp and in the same condition. The flush pin spooked me from bidding at the time.

Looks like a typical 1950's era "Springer" made by Bonsa.
No, I'm not happy to see you, that's my 12cm "Red Rose" in my pocket!

I don't think it was madeby Bonsa. If it is a contract knife it is more likely a Weltersbach or Grafrath.
I'm going to make an educated guess that the knife is pre-WW2, though the jigged bone scales are unusual for that era.
Rare knife, in excellent condition!

You must have 25+ posts to sell on the forum. All sales should be in the "Buy/Sell" forum.

Beautiful knife. That's made for pocket carry! A 3 5/8" blade with a 4 1/2" handle is purpose built for the slacks, jacket, or sports coat pocket. (I do love it so)!

You are quoting the original poster from 2008. AndyS mentioned selling his knife and it was deleted.
