There are very few known with the "Black Beauty" stamp.
I believe this is where the "M. Italy" knives came from. Just a theory.

Unfortunately, he deleted the pictures that started the thread, but there's still some good info there.
Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.

The last Black Beauty switchblade I saw was at the blade show year before last, I think it was owned by the Master but i'm not sure, Picklokpat may be able to shed more light on that. :?:

Thanks for the compliments guys! They are very special pieces in my collection.
If I'm not mistaken,I think Dan Fuller owns a switchblade version of the black beauty. There's only a known handful of these knives from the info I've collected over the past 8 or 9 years on the knife forums.

Those ads really take me backness...

I think it's interesting that the auto version "opens with supersonic speed," anna manual version is "guaranteed to open every time," and "closes with lightning speed" :P

one time I cut out one of the ad's and mailed it in with a quarter asking for the catalog(close to 30 years after it was published) they sent me an army surplus catalog with a note inside telling me automatic knives are illegal
