Abe,

You have access to a much more effective cure than I do.

Put a little neosporin on it. You'll be fine in a week. Just don't pick the scab.

Hi Guys - That compulsive clicking is a great cure for the blues but I've
found it's best done in private. I was laying out about 50 of my Italians
in a row and just clicking away to my hearts content when my wife
asked me what the hell was I doing. I felt a little silly until I caught
her doing the same thing a few days later. Now she's hooked and is
collecting 7 inchers - Just what we needed, ANOTHER expensive habit
in the house :)

Frank B Red Dot Picklocks

Post by METALGOD »

Hi orangeboy the knife in the picture is a swivel bolster release with red dot added, Frank does NOT make swivel bolsters with red dot safetys, he DOES make 11" Picklocks with red dot safetys and with horn exactly like one in picture but are limited edition and only makes 100-200 per year, i personally have 18 of Franks 11" red dot picklocks in stag, blondhorn and blackhorn all with red dot safety,nickel/silver bolsters, full cut brass liners that cover bolster ears on top and bottom like picks of the 50's and i have them in bayonet, dagger and super limited edition kriss blades, they are still available but are special order , also in next few weeks possibly a month or 2 Frank will be releasing the new 9" red dot picklocks in blond, blackhorn or stag handles with bayonet, dagger or kriss blades and limited first run to 100 pieces and they come with all the great stuff found on the 11" red dot picklocks like nickel/silver bolsters full cut liners and franks stamp(Frank B. Italy) also the new 9" red dots come with certificate of authenticity signed by Frank personally. im the biggest seller of Franks Picklocks 11" and new 9" and i will have exclusive rights to them which means i will be the only seller of the 9" red dot picklocks by Frank Beltrame, im taking orders as we speak but no money accepted till i have them in my hand, we have been waiting very patiently but expect them very soon within next month or 2, if anyone is interested , PM me for prices and ill put you on list also let me know what handle and blade type you want. or if you like to wait keep an eye out for them on BA my seller name is Blackbeard13.
Thanks

That is a rather broad generalization not borne out by my experience. Even the "Cheap" switches sold by our hosts can be, but not always are, surprisingly good. No Italian switch I ever bought has shown any rust. Which Beltrame are you referring to? Note that they don't make these knives in Milan if that's what your confused about.

Rust :?: RUST :?:
A friend of mine wrote this about the Flea Market where I sell these knives and mine have been rained on repeatedly with NO problems.
I get all set up, it rains on my knives, I go home and dry them off [the best I can] and try again the following week. Still no rust :!: Even the one or two Damascus ones are still "Rostfrei".

"This SUCKS! It's Sunday, and it's RAINING again!
This is the 4th Sunday in a row that the Flea Market has been RAINED out! It's is like being in "Bangladesh" in the Rainy Season..... there are Cows, Monkeys and Chickens floating by outside here in Concord!"

my hands get sweaty = rust
I'm a compulsive flicker = breakage
I have an eye for fine craftsmanship = not confused
the metals are soft, they're poorly finished.....but the other extreme seems to be forking out a personal loan from the bank and purchasing a Burn.

CRKT seem to be able to mass produce a fantastic product (for the money) but when it comes to our favorite design (the stiletto) we all seem to be quite content with less than average.

not me though

and b4 ya'll bash me for having an opinion, bare in mind that I took the time and effort to explain myself
as useless as rubber lips on a wood pecker
