Need a reference

Post by Feyd Rautha »

Hi all, I'm interested in any info anyone has about a seller on BA named "the master". He has some interesting stuff but I've always stayed with the known good by us list. If anyone could help, I'd be thankful, maybe let me know in a PM if that's better ettiquette. Thanks.

Feyd,

I think The Master was Dr. Who's arch enemy, the guy that disposed of people and other beings by shrinking them down to barbie-doll size. I'd be cautious, if it's the same guy, the knives he's selling might be a lot smaller than they appear in the photos.

Maybe we could have him investigated by Dirk Gently, the Holistic Detective.

Sorry I have nothing but mindless foolishness to offer regarding your question, good luck.

He seems to have a lot of antiques on auction. I have heard positive references to him, and never any complaints. Personally, I have never dealt with him, although I wouldn't mind having some of his goodies.

I bought a 50's 8inch no name kriss picklock

http://bladeauction.com/cgi-bin/osa/Vie ... ber=728762

and a 50's 9inch EIG Cutlery kriss picklock from the Master.

This guy is the real deal. Both are gems in terrific condition. He has been absolutely honest ( in my opinion, they have been in even better condition than he described).

I just won a Mauro Mario 9 inch

I'll let you know when I get this one. I hope this helps!

The Master needs to be on the "Good Ones" list

Post by Snapdagger »

I've picked up 4 antiques from The Master, and I got to tell you. This guy has it together in addition to the ones I posted above, I've since received

http://bladeauction.com/cgi-bin/osa/Vie ... ber=733630

and

A truly beautiful MM kris 9 inch. Don't have a picture that would do it justice. Trust me on this guy. He's got the real deal.

I just got a terrific 15" kris with dark horn scales from The Master. He really does have it together; it was one of the smoothest transactions ever. He responded to questions, delivered fast and the goods were definitely as represented.

I can't put it any better than Mr. natcherly just did. My experience w/ the Master is limited to only one transaction, but it was a very positive one........ today I received a white horn LLO. There was nuttin' but accurate answers & well packed, high quality goods delivered quickly!! :D

I've ben meaning to ask him if he's a Dr. Who fan. Anyway, I've purchased a stag leverletto and an AKC swing from him. Both arived quickly and were exactly as advertised. The only down side to the transaction is the time it takes to pay via money order. Hope this helps.

The Master

Post by emcaster »

Hi everybody, I got my first Latama from Peter (the master) and it was, as someone else already said "better than described" This 11" perfect horn, lovingly sharpened, rock solid legend. Was advertised as "for the guy who wants a working Latama, NOT collector grade"
To ME its the crown jewel of my modest collection!!
I have since purchased a couple (three) picks from the MASTER and can verify that he is a "stand up" guy.
