I just got this knife and it's so nice. Has anybody got any tips on how to open one of these things without destroying your thumb?

Roc,
I had the same problem. I tried every lubricant available and the one that worked best was Carmex For Dry Lips!
Put a little dab of the stuff on the spring release tab and keep working it.
I heard from a MicroTech dealer that some MT factory employees have actually quit their jobs because of sore thumbs from testing LCCs.

I collect springblades but I carry my "thumbers."

I usually rotate between my LUDT and UT6 lately. Hubie Camper if hiking or camping or going to a party. LCC/DA if I am going to a potentially legally unfriendly state.Vagrant wrote:There's a topic.
