Re: Made The Headlines
They are doing a great job and to date, have helped repeal switchblade laws in 9 states. Oklahoma is the latest and the state also passed a preemption law so cities can't pass stricter knife laws than the state. They have helped introduce knife-reform bills in Illinois, Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin. If any of you live in these states, contact your legislators. The Oklahoma law doesn't take effect until Nov. 1, but I'm already looking for knives that I will buy for carrying instead of collecting!

Re: Made The Headlines
This article has an excellent example of something I have noticed that is just inexplicable:
Then...
A Marine Corps veteran who spent 40 years in law enforcement, he is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment.
Then...
I'm going to have to disagree with his definition of the word "staunch".However, “I do believe we need laws restricting certain types of knives, especially those that are designed to kill,” he told FoxNews.com. “I don’t think anyone should be walking down the street with a combat knife for any reason.”

Just happy a weapons permit in GA covers damn near anything short of a LAWS rocket.
The worst evils which mankind has ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments.

Re: Made The Headlines
You see that at shows sometimes where you will be talking to someone who is like the president of the local open-carry club but once you switch the word "gun" with "knife", they start to sound like they are running for mayor of San Francisco.Viking45 wrote:Yeah JB I believe the man contradicted himself...bad.

Re: Made The Headlines
It is pretty surreal to hear these dish!t talking heads on the TV discussing the difference between a push-button and a assisted-opener. What is really hilarious is when they get some law-enforcement guy who tries to justify the legal difference (not just because the way the laws are written but trying to argue that there is some practical reason one would be legal and one wouldn't).Rave wrote:Sounds like politico 101,S.O.S..
