Thinking about buying a Boker Kalashnikov

Post by Wryyy »

Hey everybody,
I was searching around the internet for a decent side opening automatic knife and I came across this

http://www.bladeplay.com/item--Boker-Ka ... v-74--3068

Has anyone bought one of these or know anything about them? I know a little about knife steels, but I know nothing about switchblade performance. What do you guys think?

If anyone has some suggestions for a nice automatic knife under $100, let me know. Looking at the threads, the Taiwanese "Lightning" OTF looks popular.

Thanks

The Kalashnikov is about the best "bang for the buck" you can get
I sell them for a little less [at the flea] and have NEVER had one returned for any reason

You won't go wrong with that knife, very dependable, and reasonably priced, and like Vagrant says, "a good bang for the buck."

It may also be mentioned that those damn things are SHARP!

And they have a safety-once you test the edge, you'll be very, very grateful for that.

Sounds like a good idea to me then. I already ordered mine off Bladeplay because I couldn't find a cheaper website that had the plain edge with a full black tactical look. I checked Stu and he didn't have any plain edge blades, or I would have bought them from there.

You can't go wrong with one. I like the mini tantos better but the Kalashnikov is a must have if you like autos.

Very nice for the money. Good blade steel too and good workmanship. No complaints. I like mine.
Use a bigger knife.
