Now back to the knife...I had been thinking about buying one but will wait now.
Would like to hear if anyone else has had problems...with the knife!

I'm sure that ya ought to return it to Stu and resist any other urges that you may have with what to do with it.

If others are having problems with them I'm sure he would want to know about it so he can either get good ones or quit selling them.
Mr. Markco,

I haven't heard of a single problem anyone else has had with them. Everyone here seemed pleased with theirs and gave them high marks. That's why I bought them. My Bestest Buddy LOVES hers and it works just fineness!

I emailed Stu this morning and he already got back to me. He said to try spraying a little WD-40 inside, but that didn't help... He apologized and told me if that didn't fix it, to send it back at his expense. I will be doing that tomorrow day. I suspect I just got a "lemon."

Thanks Jerrbear!
I am glad to hear that there haven't been other reported problems and I have always had real good service with Stu.
Just placed my fourth order with him in five weeks.

My last promotional email from Stu said that he was giving these away with any order. I don't know if that's still in effect, but that sounds like a good deal to me.

if he said that within the last week it sounds good to me too but the last order I got from him which arrived just under a week ago, there wasn't anything that I didn't order.

I got the promotional letter from Stu as well, he said you have to remind him to include the free gift, if you bought a utx clone for $38.00, I don't know what the free gift is though.

Ah, I misunderstood, too. I threw away my email. I thought he was offering the UTX-70 clones as the free gift.

Never mind......

That would a most excellent promotion to buy a few knives, if he gave a utx clone with every sale. I certainly would start buyin' more lol.

Here is the email. Sounds like a free gift if you include the ops otf in your order...
(( I say its still Christmas,))

GET A FREE GIFT WITH EVERY ORDER THAT INCLUDES THIS ITEM ! ! !
but, please remind me as I will instinctively forget ..

Just say "" Hey don't forget my freakin free gift ""

OPS OTF @ $38.00
Just in, the new OPS OTF. This knife is 2/3 the size of most OTFs and is very good
quality. It has a 2-1/4" drop point blade with 3 blood grooves, blade swedge
with false edge, and a 2 tone finish... black swedge and honed area with
satin finish on the rest of the blade. Spine mounted metal switch for
opening and closing the blade... powered each way. Great snap & minimal
blade play. 3 1/4" black metal alloy handle, that's only 5/16" thick.
Open length = 5 1/2" and weight = 1.9 oz. No belt clip, but comes
with a black ballistic woven Nylon tactical sheath with Velcro belt loop and clasp.
Overall very nice quality. Like anything else - don't abuse it & it should last...

Got to agree with you there.....

Usually free gift items filter down to the bottom of my "not that interesting" knife box, and don't get seen again anyway.

Brought the clone to work today, going to carry/abuse it until it either breaks or amazes me.
