I'd say it's a bargon imho,the french have been makeing different types of these knifes for 50+ years with all kinds of slight Variations.in any case you have a nice collection of frenchies,the man to ask about this is sunny,he's an expert in this feild.I'm sure he's forgotten more about french kniv...

Nice knife Ian,I'd actually put that one as made in the 70s.itsame in the for in spring steel book.I have this exact knife and it's certainly a keeper!! So Is that wonderful wife ya got that buys ya a knife for Father's day!! Congrats.

John, big_slim and Lance: Thanks for the compliments. I prefer shiny knives so I go over them with 4 micron diamond paste and a 1" felt Dremel wheel. The diamond paste does a very nice job of polishing the metal without removing a significant amount as long as I'm a little careful with it. Any nick...

Nice knife,over the years I've been offered more of these than I can remember and like a big dummy I always passed em up.to buy more traditional styles of stilettos.now I could kick myself in the a%@!!! I Bought it this way lance. If it had its swingguard I wouldnt have paid so little,as I think many would have known what it was. It was just described as a spanish knife with systeme. I saw the swingguard hole and jumped on it . It was very reasonable ,i think the guards would have upped it a lot. ...

Kris blades are gorgeous,they look great,and that's pretty much the extent of they're usefulness,from what I understand from Orange boys research Patrizio Pasquale is the inventor of the Kris blade on the switchblade knife..
