Very nice!DonC wrote:Picked up one of Frank's TSF pick locks a while back. Made around 2000 and instrumental in the re-introduction of pick locks to a market that was very heavily into swivel bolsters.

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock
Jules - while we are at it, here is the Beltrame coil-spring Humpback I picked up back in 2012. I'm not a fan of humpbacks, but I am a fan of ram scales. That is a stunning knife. Are you sure that it is coil fired rather than leaf spring fired? Most coil fired knives have a big solid front bolster...

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock
Sounds like dealers and auction sites will be the place to find these Frank B blades. Well, part of collecting is the "thrill of the chase" lol. I collected most of my items years back, and only picked up a few more recently when I stumbled onto the Walt's knives etc. Good luck in the hunt JV and yo...

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock
Really nice looking Stag picklock with flat button. Sorry to hear the news from Sara, for sure. So are they currently just producing Walt's and their other models? The "no plans to" comment regarding picklocks is rather final, unfortunately.

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock
Just looked at two different Beltrame sites and see what you mention here. Way back when I sent an email and bought the French Tip example they asked me what scales I wanted etc. Liked it so much I then requested a 2nd one with the Buffalo horn. Remember the Customs description on the package was "m...

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock
Thanks! I bought this and a Buffalo horn around the same time, about 2002-03 if I remember correctly, so had these awhile. I'll add some pics of the other one.JulesVane wrote:Oh, that's a beauty! Wish they were more available. Certainly not a common sight to see Frank B picklocks.

11" Frank B Picklock
Hi Gents -
Here is a Frank B - Italy I brought off Francesco Beltrame's website some years back. It was cool to exchange emails with his daughter Sara. Nice French Tip horn and a tight knife with a really good kick on opening.
Cheers -

Re: 1950's Japanese Picklock
Nice looking picklock. Being located in Texas I had a number of Rizzuto swingers that came from Mexico, none of them lasted very long unfortunately. I'm totally unaware of today's availability, but for the prices they're fetching on the Bay, I'd be headed South twice a week! lol I saw a couple of R...

I believer Mauro Mario is the maker of M. Italy knives. Not sure how to date these myself but would also be interested in knowing this info.
