Re: leverletto kit knife

WOW! Very nice job! Laugh at your filework? Are you kidding? My first attempt looks just plain stupid in comparison. That does NOT look like a first try. If it is, you're extremely talented!

Re: LEGEND DIES

I hate to hear about ol' Les Paul's passing. I bet those original guitars are gonna jump in value a bit. :D Shoot, I couldn't afford one BEFORE the man died...Damn sure can't afford one now!!

God rest his soul...

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

A buddy of mine was robbed at a cell site in Tennessee last year. The perp got the better of my friend via steel pipe. He was able to crawl under the truck, come around front and while the guy was leaning into the truck looking through stuff, my buddy showed him what an F-250 door can do to a knee! ...

Re: Conflict of Interest

Why can you not support someone and care for their safety while at the same time hate the bigger picture? Becuase it's as if you're telling someone to go out there and kick ass and take names (which is what they're trained to do), but not TOO much! Ya know, I have a really simple way of looking at ...

Re: It had to be done! Mini Leverletto.

I've got a mini coming from HDC and was going to attempt this very thing myself. How do you remove/attach the bolsters to the liners? Oh, are the original bolsters steel or nickel/silver?

Re: Some of your "other" hobbies?

I've never seen speakers like those. Are the enclosures tuned in some arcane way, or they free air suspended? I'd like to know more; they look a little like the P.A. units we used to use in the 60's, but on steroids. They are free air (or dipole radiating) and depend on the distances from the front...

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

I've never considered pulling a flashy noticable knife out on site anywhere. The letto is perfect for removing weatherproofing material from just about any kind of cable. I amazed a co-worker by doing in 5 minutes what it took him at least 20 to do with the ol' utility knife/scissor combo that most...

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

I wonder if I went on a rampage with a shovel, would the word "shovel" ever be demonized? I could do much more damage with a shovel than with any puny little "switchblade" and it would be my defensive weapon of choice when working in or around Atlanta. I base this on legality, availability, simplici...

Some of your "other" hobbies?

The reason I ask is most folks here seem to be pretty sharp  and I know collecting knives cannot be the only hobby some of you have. So I thought I'd ask about some of the others and share some of mine. Anyone into boating? I recently acquired a 1996 Mariah Talari z201, so this is a new hobby f...

Re: Anyone do manual to auto conversions?

I saw some case copperlocks and cheetahs that T bar K converted to D/A while at the blade show. It looked like they did a pretty good job. I imagine they have to make a completely new backspring, as their conversions are leafspring fired. :D

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

2 years ago, I was doing some contract work for our local power company. If you guys could see the cutbacks I had to make on the cable, you'd imediately understand why I was using my Leverletto. At one point, the project coordinator from the power company saw me open it. He says "Hey, that's a switc...
