Re: Burn Knives my 1st
Anyone know off the top of their head what size t5 tool is needed? I don’t have a lot of tools, but I can pick one up. Thanks in advance Jay, T5 is the size of the Torx bit you'll need. You can pick up a set of Torx bits with a small driver to store them in on ebay, etc. I like Wiha, but any qualit...

Heads Up: Walt's 23cm
I know some of you are anxiously awaiting the latest run of Walt's 23cm half-grinds...well, they're heeere. "Here" being PVK at the moment. No mention of 'em yet on the Latama site. I have a Brazilian horn on the way.

Re: Burn Knives my 1st
Congrats, Jay. She's a real beauty. Keep an eye on the tiny T5 screws on each side of the chassis. I'm pretty sure that they secure the pivot pins for the locking latches and mine tend to loosen up a bit over time. My knife is from the same run as yours and I don't think Paul used threadlock on them...

Re: Burn Knives (Paul Panak) my 1st
I recently picked up the same model in upcycled linen Micarta. The brass is developing a very nice uniform patina from handling. Makes the modern CNC milled knife look like an antique. Paul makes a real beast of an OTF. I use Flickr for image hosting. It's free and easy to navigate. Looking forward ...

A jeweler's rouge cloth brightens-up NS bolsters and brass liners nicely.

Re: whats you ordering experience with mr pvknives???
I've ordered quite a few knives from Josh over the years and never had a bad experience. Keep his reward points in mind when comparing prices. If you're a repeat customer, they can really add up. I had a $150 discount on my last purchase thanks to accumulated points that I'd forgotten I had.

Thanks guys, and good luck Thom. FWIW, AZCK had five of these stag flatguards listed last year, all previously owned and long gone, but their high rez archival pics will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from this run as far as stag quality and F&F are concerned. I'd say mine's an averag...

It was New Knife Day and there was much rejoicing to be had. I asked BHQ to look for a straight one and they came through. The scales on this one appear consistent with the old European cutler's preference for hafting their stag with the 'show' slab on the reverse side, though I for one am glad that...

Re: A.G.A. 10"- 5mm Picklocks
Damn, you guys have some beautiful knives. That MOP is drop dead gorgeous. I seem to have a bit of an odd duck here. It has a few features that I don't recall seeing on an AGA 10": The blade stock and backspring are 4.5mm rather than the usual 5mm, the grind terminations are radiused rather ...

Re: WTB: Renzo Pascotto-made Wasp-Body Flatguard
I'll do that as soon as it arrives so you guys can grab one if it turns out to the be the flatguard we're looking for. Arlen should have his first, so hopefully he'll chime in, too.thom wrote:please let us know, if they have anymore I may pick one up. good price
