Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
Not really any counterfeits with markings except for a few one off Italians by a couple manglers. At least not that I recall. There were clones but not blatant with company markings. I have never heard of counterfeit Daltons, Paragon. A few years later there were the Bucks but I don't recall the cou...

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
1998-2003 seems about spot on for the time frame. Do you remember who the dealer was? PS- There is a Dalton forum still active. It might be the best place to find out more about those knives. Rob Dalton made many different knives with small production numbers and once he sold out on a production run...

I don't think you can retire yet, but most aren't junkers from what I can tell.

The one I called a godson might be a godfather. I never owned one so not for sure.

Re: I find a nice looking knife...
If you were painting with it you missed a spot...lol Seriously, it looks like you got some use out of it. I remember when those Magnums were very popular as one of the best budget auto knives. As far as sharpening serrated blades, I try to avoid it so wouldn't buy a high dollar user knife with serra...

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
There are a few Daltons that are also valuable.
The the blue marble one looks to be a Protech godson
The wood handled one appears to be a converted Buck 112.
The mother of pearl inlade ones I'm brain farting on as well as the smaller knife on the top right

Re: Coyotes
I was a die hard trapper from about 1988 until about 1997. Yotes were few and far between. I would catch 30 fox to every coyote. Now there are 30 coyotes to every fox or more. They are everywhere now. I thought about dusting off my old traps last year but the coyote skins aren't worth crap around he...

Re: Gun talk forum?
POssibly bad news. I asked arthas about a gun section and this was the reply. He is the owner, host, and administrator of talkblade. Hello! I have to think about that. I'd never been too much involved in guns, and know little about them. I also need to find out if I could have some issue here in Ita...

Re: I ordered the Kershaw Launch 17 this morning.
It is frustrating waiting for a package. And when tracking shows "out for delivery" and it doesn't show your mind starts imagining if the neighbor is going to be honest enough to return it, or the person from the next street over with the same house number but a block to the south (My USPS driver I ...
