Re: Bonsa trapdoor
Thanks for your thoughts on this, Bill. I am without my old standby for finding values: the sold listing prices on eBay.

Re: Bonsa trapdoor
I have found this model listed online from $350 to as much as $700. Of course, these are asking prices, not prices realized.

Re: Bonsa trapdoor
I am considering putting the Bonsa I posted about above in the Buy/Sell/Trade board. What is a reasonable price range to ask?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Info on small antique folding knife?
I should add that I have seen others like this online described as "WWII era Filipino monkey bone knife". I have no idea if this is true of those knives or this one. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Bonsa trapdoor
This Bonsa is German made. Perhaps you are referring to one earlier in the thread?

Info on small antique folding knife?
Hi All,
Can anyone tell me about this little knife? It appears to have some age to it. The handles seem to be a dark hardwood. The rest of the handles are brass. It is about 4 inches long when unfolded. The construction suggests that it was made by hand.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Bonsa trapdoor
Thanks, Bill. It sounds like "rare" might be an overstatement.
Is there any way to narrow the date down based on the logo or other features?

Re: Bonsa trapdoor
Hi All,
I recently inherited this German trap door knife signed "Bonsa, Solingen".
I gather that it is a single-action from the 1950s or 1960s? Previous messages in this thread suggest that it is rare. Is this true?
Thanks for your help!
