s30v and waterstones

Anyone with experience sharpening s30v with waterstones? Am I going to need diamond stones for this steel? I currently have norton 800, 1000, and 4000 waterstones which work great for other steels. Thanks

Crucible steel

I have researched everywhere I know and still haven't figured out the differences between s30v, s60v and s90v steels. I recently purchased a microtech amphibian in s30v which will be here soon. What can I expect of this steel compared to other cpm and also 154-cm. If a simple answer exists I would a...

I have bought on and off auction from Stu several times over the last 3 or 4 years with no problems. Once he even started backing away from a sale when he thought I might be too particular of some pictures of the knives. He has proven to be a VERY ethical businessman. I also note that your only 2 po...

Don't panic about Stu, I have made several purchases from him outside of auction over a period of 3 or 4 years and he will honor the deal and you wont be disappointed.

I have a factory Smith & Wesson HRT folder that I can flick open with just my index finger, it has the ball detent and the pivot pressure is easily adjustable. I guess I need to find out if it's legal here in Georgia. Kinda funny- I can carry my snub .357 mag legally. Oh crap there I go again- think...

Leverletto generation changes?

I have purchased 4 leverlettos over a period of 6 months and don't see any obvious changes. Please explain 1st and 2nd gen differences. I have black horn, blond horn, snakewood and stag. They all function great and look similar. Thanks

I didn't even ask the original question as a critique of a wonderful knife which is so solid and nice for the price, but I sure like where this may lead..... The American way- OPTIONS.

I'm in for 3 more, let us know if and when............

step 1. I admit I am powerless over knives...

step 2. There is a higher power ..............

Aw the hell with it, some addictions are just too fun to give up. I'll just stash the new ones where I used to stash the liquor.

Leverletto scale question

Is there any reason for not having a solid front scale? These appear to be similar in construction to the massaro slim model with solid scale. BTW, after my first purchase I was so impressed with the solid construction of this knife I talked to STU711 and bought 2 more. So much for my budget this mo...

I stand corrected, sorry. After searching the posts I know better. I thought (mistake #1) a troll might be someone like me who reads often but rarely comes out to comment. Please advise me on the correct definition of troll. It appears to be a non-desirable; which I hope I'm not.

Anthing can be had for a price, me thinks it's a GE Vulcan mini-cannon, Viet Nam era. Wife has wanted one for years and I keep telling her to grab the Browning A5 I fixed up with 20" barrel and 8 rounds of 00 buck in extended tube. Legal and tears stuff up real good :P

Mr DeShivs; I received my first leverletto with black horn 4 weeks ago and just cant put it down. I liked it so well I bought 2 more, blond horn and snakewood. I agree they are pretty knives and sturdy. I may regret it later but mine are users. The tight fit is great. Are the pivot pins a bit larger...
