Re: Ceramic Knifes, how do you like them?

@Spidergear: do you make these Agitator Dagger OTF knives yourself or do you have them manufactured in China ?

Re: Cold Steel Black Bear machete handle mod

The overall length of the knife (handle + blade) is 45,2 cm or 17.8 inches, while the blade alone measures 30.8 cm or 12.13 inches. Blade thickness on my example is 2.89 mm, and there is nothing flimsy about it. The old Western Bowie is one of my own favorites as well, both because of the knife's ti...

Cold Steel Black Bear machete handle mod

Yesterday i gave this Black Bear machete a contoured handle with a "fuzzy finish". Next will be a resharpening of the factory edge. https://s31.postimg.cc/tcsjymtxz/GEDC1965.jpg https://s31.postimg.cc/fvvlfstx3/GEDC1967.jpg https://s31.postimg.cc/saidg3iuf/GEDC1970.jpg https://s31.postimg.cc/gleds5f...

Omega-Werk Solingen pocketknife

"In 1847 the sheet metal worker & hardware salesman Joseph Feist settled in Solingen, Germany. After 1870 he also sold cutlery together with his brother Abraham. Later Abraham Feist started Lunawerk in the Eintrachtstrasse, and Joseph Feist started Omega-Werk on the Köllner Strasse 18, and the 4-st...

Re: Optimizing 3 Cold Steel Kukri Machetes

About twice a week we like to take a hike in the forests surrounding our home town, and each time we walk between 7 and 10 kilometers. (about 4 to 6 miles) During that time i use any of my choppers to keep the walking trails clear from overgrowth, ranging from small green branches up to small trees,...

Modding a CS Heavy Duty Machete

Recently i bought these 2 Cold Steel Heavy Duty machetes as modding projects. One of them now looks a bit like a slender barong with a swedge (maybe this will be sharpened later on, don't know yet) The contoured & resurfaced polypropylene handle has a bit of a negative angle to the blade which so fa...

Re: Show your Paper Wheel edges

Good to read about your positive experiences thus far, and do post some pictures of your edges.
I'm sure others would like to see them just as much as i do.

Re: Optimizing 3 Cold Steel Kukri Machetes

We had something of a storm a few weeks ago, and many forest trails are still littered with broken branches and/or blocked by fallen over small trees like these 3 birches. The modified Kukri Machete dealt fast & easy with both the de-limbing as well as chopping up the main trunks into moveable sizes...

Re: Optimizing 3 Cold Steel Kukri Machetes

Hi gravknife, It's not so much the chances of slipping why i resurfaced the kukri machete handles but because of the real possibility of skin damage and/or blisters due to the chequering which does not belong on the handle of a large blade like this imo, which shifts around in your hand quite a bit ...

Re: Optimizing 3 Cold Steel Kukri Machetes

This is Kukri Machete nr 2 with it's new convex edge (apex at +/- 30 degrees inclusive) and resurfaced PVC handle, currently weighing 504 grams. Nr. 3 looks the same but it already went to a friend of mine. https://s18.postimg.cc/h5rioj8ud/GEDC1820.jpg Kukri nr 1 with it's new convex edge (apex also...

Optimizing 3 Cold Steel Kukri Machetes

Recently i bought several Cold Steel Kukri Machetes. I had read quite a bit about this specific model, and when i could get a very good deal i grabbed them. For me these Kukri Machetes have a useful size (they fit inside my daypack), with around 2.8 mm blade thickness they are quite rigid for a mach...
