Re: Heirloom

Thank you again for the comment, :)
.. objects are more interesting when they have a history and a story to tell
especially these kind of objects used in wars, surrounded by great drama and intense emotions
and harsh conditions that makes them indeed fascinating.

Re: Heirloom

Yes, thanks for the research, i have seen some on eBay but they are in not so good condition as this one
and to me it's a special piece because my father gave it to me who was there in the 1940's.

There is a little story to it, it was taken from a captured Japanese soldier during the war in Indonesia in the 1940's my father took it home as a souvenir. He told me that ther...

Re: Is there a way to improve the kickspring?

The way the blade moves, i think it's not an issue of tight pivots or something like that, the blade moves smooth, yes i used the oil but that didn't help much, i think it has to do with the kickspring. http://images2.imagebam.com/97/97/b1/5397d8733604113.jpg It sits fairly deep compared to my other...

Re: Is there a way to improve the kickspring?

Thanks JulesVane, Bill DeShivs and others that replied here,it's the only piece i own with a bit weak kick, but like i said i can live with that, it's a great knife for that price, i got a 10% discount on it so i don't complain. It's not really money that mattered in this, such a great looking and b...

Is there a way to improve the kickspring?

I was wondering, and search gave no results about this, is there a way to improve the kickspring so that the knife opens a bit faster? My latest acquisition is excellent all the way excep that it opens a kinda slow, the kickspring sits deep inside the handle unlike my other knifes that kick like a m...

Re: 11" A.G.A. Campolin Brazilian Horn Flatguard 5mm Picklock

I'm not sure. Yeah I have a few of these knives and can't make out who signed the certificates on any of them. These are truly fabulous knives and are of the quality promised 12+ years ago with the AGA Campolin 13" Picklocks. Those promises were not met back then, but they certainly have been now o...
