Re: Can anyone ID this bayonet for me?

Okay, did a little digging and it appears this is a Spanish Toledo bayonet. This particular model was used in WWII. Don’t know if this is an original or a replica. It looks and feels like the real thing. And yes, they all have that curve in the blade so it’s not a botched sharpening job.

Can anyone ID this bayonet for me?

Picked this up for about $30 at an antique shop. If any of you could ID the markings for me, I’d appreciate it. Looks like someone tried to sharpen the blade and gave it a bit of a banana curve.

That OTF trapdoor was in The Cross and the Switchblade if I’m not mistaken.

Re: A curved Italian style switchblade?

Whoever thought these were a good idea was freakin high. The Roma swinguards actually aren’t that bad. Like how they incorporate both Russian and Italian styles. But these? Sorry, they’re just ugly.

Thanks for all the info Jerry! Very helpful!

That’s right, it had a slip in spring so it wasn’t even an Italian one. Probably Taiwan or China.

German market stiletto restoration

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m6DYsnBzBxo This one is interesting. The front and back scales are different. The button is weird too. I’m guessing the original button broke and that’s just a replacement button. That could explain the peaking and why there’s a different scale with no safety. Looks goo...

Re: ALEX KOVATCH HAS PASSED AWAY

I sadly only discovered this just now. I now know why I didn’t get a response to the email I sent Alex this week. :( I bought a couple knives from him in 2020. He didn’t live that far from me. In fact, he actually used to deliver mail to my apartment before he retired. Since he was familiar with whe...

Re: Rizzuto picklock

I would call that a lock back, rather than a hump back. Hump backs have the lock release in the middle of the nandle. I stand corrected. It’s stamped simply “Rizzuto Estileto” instead of “Rizzuto Estileto Milano” and the guy said he thinks it came along before the automatics. However, didn’t the or...

Re: Rizzuto picklock

Have you guys ever seen a manual humpback Rizzuto? This guy has one.

Wow! Never knew that existed. Those two guardless step bolsters are nice too! Especially the red one!
