Re: Leverlock With a Swing Guard?

I love my Guardian. It's the thick guards and beefy look and feel that attracted me in the first place. I have not heard any bad things about Guardians, mine has gorgeous stag,it's tight, sits perfect when closed and the guards are absolutely tight when open and closed. I bought four along with a few ...

Re: FS: Custom leverletto, buffalo horn and filework

Mr. Muskrat have you ever customized a Hubie Guardian or a Russian Ladya? Just curious. My Guardian has gorgeous stag but I only wish the top scale covered the release thingy(what's that thing called?) I'd love to have one of my Russian's customized. It's one knife I have never seen any custom...

Re: Which type of blade release do you prefer, and why?

Although I have mostly bolster release and picklock Italians I actually prefer levers. They just seem more old fashioned and I like the look of brass with stag or wood.

Re: "Madmax" Frame Lock

Wow,that's one nasty looking knife and I mean that in the best of ways.
That's the kind of knife I want for my EDC.
Love what you did on the pocket clip, sits deep. Excellent work.

Re: Ocean mist LLO

Silly question, but what knife did you start with? I can't place a lever like that with the kris blade.(Leverletto?)
Great job by the way, nice file work and cool scales.

Re: Manual stiletto refurbish

Amazing! I love how flush the horn is with the bolsters. It's great to see that someone would take a knife like that and turn it into a masterpiece.

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

Well crap, now snack food has made the list of weapons along with rocks, truck doors, shovels and screwdrivers. Let me just say this,They can have my shovel when they pry it from my cold dead hands. Since this thread is about 'switchblade or auto' I want to add something on that. Most knife c...

Re: Mikov by MM

That is one spectacular Mikov. I have got to have a custom Mikov.
Where would one get horn like that?

I have the Boker Solingen Bowie and would love to have the walnut scales replaced with some nice stag if anyone knows who could do this for me I would appreciate any info.

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

Great!! Now the storm troopers will be here at my door taking my shoves, rocks, pipes and car doors!! ...but at least my knives will be safe!! Yes but are they "autos" or "switchblades"? I have really enjoyed this topic,as simple as it is,it has stirred some good conversation up. We are...

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

I wonder if I went on a rampage with a shovel, would the word "shovel" ever be demonized? I could do much more damage with a shovel than with any puny little "switchblade" and it would be my defensive weapon of choice when working in or around Atlanta. I base this on legality, availability, simplic...

Re: NEED HELP...DO THESE KNIVES REALLY EXIST

The Russian prison knife I am talking about was very, very roughly made from "found" metal parts such as flat stock probably robbed from a bed frame or something,it looked as if the guy filed the parts on concrete. The blade was a simple piece of flat steel that was ground to a point and the two spri...

Re: Gurkha? Kukri? Sword?

I don't know enough about Kukris [various spellings] to estimate the value on any of them :( I do know that ones from India are worth less than ones from Nepal. Yeah I figured that one from Nepal would be worth more. India and Pakistan kinda go hand in hand when it comes to quality. (would it help ...
