Re: BAZAR 1940s ???

Hdc
I am not positive but i think this could be a japanese shellpuller from the 50s 60s.
One was used in an undwerwater scene in Godzilla the movie.
It was discussed in a topic some time ago type in "Godzilla" and i believe the knife was panzerfausts.

Re: Meet Hector, The Ugliest Knife On The Planet

Barshoo You may find this strange but i quite like this knife. It looks like an african fetish type knife, used by sticking into statues to curse enemies and with its japanese take on things will become collectable in the future no doubt. Ive never seen another Barb but i can see what drew you to it ...

Re: More pictures of sword

Dave Id be happy to help you if you wish to learn more about the japanese sword but my few years study of ww2 blades is beginner/entry level at best . Samurai swords are the japanese pinching the ideas of others (China and phillipines )and honing them to perfection over a 1200 year period. Entry lev...

Re: Japanese style knife by Aan S.

Dave This is a really lovely knife in the style of a japanese aikuchi dagger. These were carried by people in japan hidden in sleeves for protection ,and in places where swords had to be removed totally. This i have to say looks more usable ,and rugged than a polished antique and i love the shape an...

Re: What year?

Josh Welcome mate. This is a lovely" transitional knife " as Bill said dates 60s to 70s.Its name means changing from picklock to swivel bolster but retaining the traits and quality of the earlier picklock knives. These are fairly rare and i really like them as they fire hard and fast have a real fee...

Springer Shellpuller SOLINGEN GUSSTAHL

This is the knife that is responsible for my current switchblade fascination. I have been looking for a minty example but to no avail so when this cheap worn one was offerred i decided to have a punt and got it for 35 euros 8 It was the blade stamp that drew me in as its one i hadnt seen whilst look...
