Re: C Jul Herbertz switchblade
The last time I was in Switzerland, a few years ago, it seemed that Swiss Army knives were for sale in every retail establishment of every kind. Thanks Matt for the info on Swiss laws, which explains why I never saw one switchblade. Interesting that the knife laws are so restrictive given the legend...

Re: I ordered the Kershaw Launch 17 this morning.
I bought a Launch 8 a few years ago because I like the look. It is a nice, well made knife with cpm154 steel. Kershaw, in my opinion, does a good job of providing USA made automatic knives at a low price point. There are a few concessions for the lower price such as cheap plastic buttons, but they f...

Re: Gun talk forum?
Here is a recent acquisition I couldn't resist. Browning white gold medallion in .30-06. When I saw the walnut on this one and learned that the dealer just takes the guns out for photos and doesn't have them on display for people to handle and potentially ding, I was hooked.

Re: Henckles and the Americans
Yeah Bill, the knives are much cheaper. My son and his wife live in the central part of your state. They are musicians, and are not famous so they are not wealthy (unlike some other residents of their area). Housing prices there have skyrocketed!

Re: Henckles and the Americans
Thanks for the feedback. I don't own any of those models either, but would like to. The issue is that nice examples cost as much as a small house

Re: Stag Handled Lever Lock
The two on the left are from the first run which is evident by the lack of the trademark sign after "Leverletto". The two on the right are dyed bone.
