Re: Stag Handled Lever Lock

The two on the left are from the first run which is evident by the lack of the trademark sign after "Leverletto". The two on the right are dyed bone.

Henckles and the Americans

Bill - Henckles and the Americans - sounds like a good name for a band - maybe you could be their bass player :D Seriously, I have a question. I remember you mentioning that you have repaired many Henckles, as well as Case and other(?) American leverlocks, and that many of the components were identi...

Re: Stag Handled Lever Lock

There were some larger real Leverlettos made, but I'm not sure of the exact length.

Re: Frenchi94 switchblade collection

Those knives usually open very fast, and have been referred to as the "silver bullet" model.

Re: 8" Edwin Jay/ Coricama

Well Chris, I have to disagree about it not winning any contests. EdwinJay / Coricama stamp alone makes it a winner. Plus, an 8 in. model with those stamps, and lack of the usual red dot on knives with those stamps combine to make it a huge winner in my book.

Re: ED. Wustof

Thanks for the insight, Micky, and it absolutely makes sense. Your choice of the term "subtle differences" is spot on. When comparing the Wusthof to my other leverlocks I did notice it was by far closest to a Bonsa. Pin placement is identical on the two, as is overall shape. What threw me was that t...

Can anyone get into the SD forum? I keep getting redirected to the auction site. If so, what address works?

Thanks,

ED. Wustof

ED. Wustof 11cm: I've been looking for the right example for years and thanks to Mark Erickson I now have it. Wustof kitchen cutlery is still made today. My research indicates that Wustof ceased production of "pocketknives" in the 1970s, but didn't yield any information regarding their marketing of ...

boots,

I didn't buy from the cart, but ordered mine instead. That way, you don't have to worry about being fast with the add to cart button. Of course, you don't receive your knife as quickly.
