Re: Superior Italy
Hello! Mr. Santini created Superior-Italy brand a few years ago and manufactured the knives in cooperation with some Maniago knifemakers. Even though he lived around Rome, so a bit far for Maniago, with time he became a usual presence of the town. He also did a Blade Show, in 2013 if I recall correc...

Hello!
For what it's worth, they're usually store closed in cutleries before shipping. It shouldn't matter that match, and there's less risk of cutting your finger.

Re: Armando Beltrame 9 inch ATS-34 Stiletto
Hello! IMHO just about everyone in Maniago would benefit from a revamping of their websites, doing away with old duplicate websites, responding to emails within a week at most, ect ... you'd think in an industry that relies on a handful of faithful (and aging) collectors, they'd get on that ... unle...

Re: Online purchases
Hello! SKM is owned by Armando Beltrame - if his knives have the stamp AB Italy, they should be top-notch stuff... the lower-end SKM-branded pieces are a bit lackluster in comparison. Bladeplay carries both, keep an eye out for the tang stamps. I can't tell for sure, but the SKM-branded knives are p...

Hello!
I'm unsure. 3knives.com, which has a great selection from Maniago, only lists AGA Campolin picklocks. You may, however, directly write to Frank Beltrame to be sure.
Cheers,
Michele.

Re: Armando Beltrame 9 inch ATS-34 Stiletto
Hello! Ah okay, thanks! The ones branded "SKM" sold through bladeplay and other US outlets are of sub-par quality compared to the ones stamped "AB ITALY" - I knew both were owned by Armando, but assumed that they were split into a high-end line and a lower-end line Likely, even though I don't know f...

Re: Armando Beltrame 9 inch ATS-34 Stiletto
Hello! SKM / AB Coltellerie / MABer are different names for the same company (owned by Armando Beltrame ), but they have different meanings. The knives were all branded, in different variations of the logo, as AB . I'm unsure how the current production is being branded: the company is not out of bus...

Re: Armando Beltrame 9 inch ATS-34 Stiletto
Hello Vlad! I'm happy you got another AB knife yesterday. As far as the ATS-34 Stilettos are concerned, it was an idea which came out in the early 2000s. At the time, most of the stilettos were made using AISI 420 stainless steel (and it's not much different nowadays). I was working with SKM and we ...

Re: Armando Beltrame 9 inch ATS-34 Stiletto
Hello Vlad! I was told that a site called SKM sells them. Unfortunately , it appeared that SKM has shut down long ago. I was wondering if any of you could tell me if Mr. Armando Beltrame is still in business ? SKM site is indeed closed down at present time. You will likely have and hard time finding...

Hi!
Awww, just $20? I can't recall the original sale price, but I think it was in the $100 or so tag.

Hello scotchman!
Indeed, you can just avoid to come back until (if that ever happens) you feel like being part of TalkBlade again.
Would that work for you?
Cheers,
Michele.
P.S.: I'm also moving this topic in a more appropriate part of the board.
