I've done work for Angelo for years he likes my work and prices . return flat rate priority mail to Italy is $36.00 in the past I've usually sent them to assorted dealers in the USA not sure why he wants them sent to his store in Austria there his knives and its none of my business to ask him why .

I clean and repair the broken parts to make them work as intended . almost all the knives were new never used knives improperly stored and left to rust some ware in Italy . I didn't ask where he found them or what happened they ended up like they are . some are pretty nice some very pitted and ruste...

There are two versions of these knives. Fastr19's first two are leaf spring knives. The one in the bottom picture is a coil spring knife. Look at the difference in the "humps." no after shots I just return them to there owners . I fix so many knives every month and very seldom take after photos unless there sent directly to the owner then I delete them .

assorted problems springs broken scales need replacing , rusted opened /closed just dont function this is the third box of 15 or so knives I've repaired and returned to Italy in the last few months .

when is the last time you read anybody getting 10 years for a single shot smooth bore knife gun ? as I said why didn't Jerry get busted then ? the dragged them to shows for 20 years with no issue I've ever heard about . very cool I know many collectors that own these even Jerry Skelton sold them at shows and listed them in his catalogs and I dont believe anybody ever did anything about it .

the question was how to store them in the best way to prevent stress on the spring wasn't it ? pretty safe to assume if its open it cant break . most of these are collectable knives and see very little use in the first place and if you have the space why not store them opened ? sure the knives are m...

I store mine in a knife roll closed because I'm able to repair them but I've had a few springs brake on knives sitting closed that I hadn't opened for days. would the springs have still broken someday with use probably yes but not while being storied opened with no load on the spring .
