Re: What would you do in this situation??

Hi Jim, I'm no expert, but I'm guessing they cracked when the pins were installed the holes may have been too small or pins to big or humidity could have been an issue wood shrinks and swells. Ask the seller to exchange the knife. If he is a Trusted Seller he'll swap it. There are many ways to polis...

Re: What would you do in this situation??

Hello JimBrown257, I was considering that very knife, then I decided to go after something else. It really is a beautiful knife. Sounds to me like it's a real issue for you. Hi Panzer,
Can't say that I've seen one, but I can say you got an awesome collection. Every time you post a photo it's always something I'd like to have in my collection. Nice knife, nice scales, wicked nice shell puller.

Re: Fiorentino/ Pattada style

Hi Peter,
Wicked cool :!: A similar knife is in the book SwitchBlades of Italy. The one in the book has a different engraving on the top bolster.
Congratulation on this newest addition to your collection.

Hello Viking,
It's never too late.
I'm the one who's late to say Thank you, for your B-day greeting and I use three of my favorite knives: a Renzo Pascotto and Lucio DiBon, an AGA - Angelo Campolin and of course a Francesco Betrame.
Thank again, Viking, your friend,
John
