I think that most of the good ones try to buy directly, but when the makers decide to enter into exclusive deals with one or two American distributers it can put the screws to the process. What happens when one or more of these "exclusive" distributors isn't the best at managing the distributorship?...

Your right, the majority of us are not going to be buying directly from uniquecutlery. All we can do is refuse to buy the stuff when we see it offered elsewhere, and get the word out.
