That's the one! I chose the clip point for the utility of it all. Handsome, isn't it?john wrote:
Hi Fishtail,
Is this the model you purchased. The more I look at it the more I want one.

Re: gearbest.com?
John, I am a clip point blade fan. While I have my fair share of stilettos, I prefer a "use oriented" blade. This 719 looks as if it's going to be a a real winner!

Re: Has anyone ever noticed...
I was being rather facetious in my first post. It's true, the "Godfather" bayonet-type blade is, as my late UDT/Frogman father called them "toad stabbers". These are primarily "killing" or "stabbing" (stylus or "stiletto") blades. While they CAN be used for cutting (when proper steels/tempering are ...

Has anyone ever noticed...
That an automatic knife with a clip point blade has an aura of being "socially acceptable" that a bayonet or dagger blade do not? Correct me if I am wrong, but Is it because the latter are seen as offensive configurations, while the former is viewed as utilitarian?

Re: I just ordered a Ganzo G719 SS Folding knife (auto)
I was impressed by the overall value offered by the knives. Most "plunge lock" autos of the Chinese variety are what I would consider "throw away" knives. (Knives that may last about a year, but will probably break, due to poor casting, heat treatment, etc.). The Ganzo line strikes me as possessing ...

Re: gearbest.com?
I just ordered a Ganzo G719 (clip point, black G10 on one side of the handle) I can't wait for it's arrival. I picked it up for $18.49 (including shipping).
Now I'm waiting for my "thrill package". The price is nice!

Again, thank you, sir! I would like to recommend such knives to the Forum members (as working knives).
This should appeal to real knife enthusiasts.

You can't have it all, (but at least I'll have some).
I hope that it lasts... should it?

I just ordered a Ganzo G719 SS Folding knife (auto)
While it is Made in China, the 440C 58Rc hardness 3.34" clip point blade knife seems as if it's a good one. For $18.32 + $.17 shipping, (yes, really) $18.49 total cost, the knife seems as if it's worth a gamble. I read several good reports of how well it functions. While I know that I shouldn't expe...

Re: Just ordered a GT (OTS) GT-401 (California Legal).
Looks about the same size as my Protech Runt. I have nothing against the Protech Runt, but I'll bet you didn't pay $38.94 for it. The GT (OTS) GT-140 normally costs a lot more, but this little knife is very nice, and while the cost is low, the value is extremely high! Go to http://www.bladehq.com a...

Re: Just ordered a GT (OTS) GT-140 (California Legal).
I'm considering going to work for the Veteran's Administration. Since I'm an old Navy man (a Stateside participant during the Southeast Asian Yacht Club Affair, 1973-1975). I can work for them while looking for studio and stage work. Working at the VA Hospital could "keep me off the streets". I can ...

Don't feel too bad I am struggling with depression, and it is difficult to reenter the workplace. I don't look my age, but people discover that I'm over 60 and treat me as If I am "over the hill" and of little use. Try finding work as a Voice Actor with 10 years of post-secondary education. No respe...

Hell, I'm 61 and am trying to go back to work. I hope to enjoy the knives I buy. I understand, and agree with, your logic. "Users" are a lot more fun than "dust collectors".

Thank you, Whippersnapper.
I'm a real sucker for a "General Utility" knife. Call me a "practical pig" all you like, I'll keep smiling.
I'm afraid to ask, but, why are you "downsizing"? Too many duplicates?
