Re: Another Havlin

Both are gorgeous and you and I are both intimately familiar with both Master builders. I actually prefer the lighter scales on the PLP, but that's like saying I like redheads and you like blondes! I'm certain Lucio DiBon provided the scales for both knives. The RP has hundreds of years of traditio...

Another Havlin

On the left is a 13" Square button Havlin in Brazilian Horn and Kris blade. Best knife I own. Fit, finish and action are second to none. The knife on right is probably the best modern production knife made. 13" Renzo Pascoto Wasp Body. The fit, finish and action are equal to the Havlin. I actually l...

No such thing as a perfect knife. But these are close. JV is right about not being centered. Not many are dead center.

Re: On the hunt for an AGA Campolin 13" Batwing swinguard, ebony scales.

I have had the same thing happen to me several times. I found if you are really interested in something you have to be diligent in looking, and buy immediately. You let 24 hrs elapse. Sometimes it can be minutes.
Keep looking and good luck.

Please post pics and let us know what you think. Both 11" and 13" Wasp's are my favorites.

Re: New 13" AGA Wasp flatguard

I own several from earlier runs. They are very nice knives, and yes, hard kick. Love the weight and feel in hand. As far as fit and finish, I am sure some are better than others. Like any other knife. I am happy with mine. But most of mine are stamped with Walt's or Renzo Pascotto stamp. Saw a reall...
