Re: Armando Beltrame 9 inch ATS-34 Stiletto

I ordered from them a few years ago and I’ve never seen such poor quality stilettos in my life. Total Frankenstein knives. One of the bolts was just a cheap flat head screw. Wobbly blades. Spines with so much gap that it was barely hanging on! Good riddance These were actually pretty high quality k...

Re: Tim Zinser/RagtimeRed

So sad to read of this... I'm pretty sure he will hang in Maniago during afterlife, ensuring knifemakers do their work properly.

Re: ATS-34 vs 440c Flat grind

Hello!

Great you have one of those ATS-34 ABs. They're not manufactured anymore and they're really great knives!

Ah, that's great for Fishtail Picklock.

I will need to take at least a couple of planes from Italy, though. Plus the Greyhound bus. :-)

Hello Don!

Ah, I miss the Eugene show so much!
I think this October there’s the Blade West as well, in Portland OR.

Re: Possibly odd question...

Hello!

It's not currently possible to order automatics from DueBuoi, as the production is suspended for the time being.

I'm unsure whether skm.to still actively processes order. I would send them an e-mail beforehand to ask.

I don't want to lose it since apparently Due Buois has given up on autos.
With a little patience, in my opinion you could sell it for the double of that price.

Re: Due Buoi

Hello!

The production of automatics is indeed suspended at present time, as DueBuoi is focusing on other items such as kitchen and professional knives.
There is no estimate on when the production of automatics may resume.

Cheers,
Michele.

Re: Superior Italy

Hello! To the best of my knowledge, Antonio Santini was apprenticing under Armando Beltrame, and all the knives were built in the AB shop in Maniago. So that accounts for the ricasso stamp. Note that the scale is a bit narrow at the pommel and the liner is showing. The correct name is Andrea . :D Fo...
