Don:
I love my AGA Fishtail Picklock. These are great knives that require appropriate handling. I think that I'll use some Carnuba Wax on my back springs to prevent rust. I plan on carrying these and using them, unlike the display knives you have.
They are beautiful and deserve preservation.

Okay, I'll confess...
I just purchased an 11" AKC Fishtail Picklock (true OAL 10.75") with Rosewood scales from Lance. It was shipped today. In the long run, I plan on having it rescaled with some nice Brazil horn or Dark Horn To make it look like dad's old Latama carbon steel knife. This will end the pursuit of my "grai...

Nice display knife. (Unless you're planning on pruning low hanging branches with it).

Pretty knives. Great for either motion pictures or gang warfare.

Dear Sardinian Knives:
I didn't want you to misconstrue my comments. I truly admire your handiwork. The knife is something that I would enjoy as an implement. The labor and product are impeccable.
Kudos, my friend.

If they are made in the US, they're manufactured in Oregon City, Oregon.

Re: Italian switchblade cm29 by Antonio Contini - Sardinia
Well, Sammy, a knife is only as valuable as well as it slices or stabs. That's about as simple and direct as it gets. The piece is beautiful and I'm certain that it is handmade from high-quality materials. How well it functions is what makes the difference. In the copy of the 1963 Firestone Tire Tel...

Whether or not you carry the piece, the high-sitting firing button would make me nervous. Were it below flush with the scales, I wouldn't hesitate. I''m to the point where I wouldn't buy anything I can't use.
It is still a lovely piece.

Re: JOKE
I remember when telegrams were sent. After each sentence, they would say "stop". That takes me back.

Re: My 10" AGA Campolin Fishtail Picklock arrived today.
Bill DeShivs advised me to "wiggle the blade" to add a slight amount of blade play without damaging the knife. I did and it worked.

Re: My 10" AGA Campolin Fishtail Picklock arrived today.
The scales are to die for (they look so masculine and rugged). The subtle white streaks on the front scale (below the safety) remind me of daddy's old knife. On the back scale, there is a fairly large and elongated white "smear" giving the knife great character. 8) I'm surprised how the bl...

My 10" AGA Campolin Fishtail Picklock arrived today.
The knife is beautiful, but tight! I have oiled it, but it still fails to open all the way. I am certain that it will loosen over time, but AGA's tolerances are something else. The Brazilian horn scales are outstanding! (I wish that I could post pictures online).
