Lucky Ned didn't have too much grit, though; he just threw that guy who tried to save him right off the horse and stole his horse.Viking45 wrote: Yeah Liberty Valance was a true classic no doubt. True Grit,if you think about it was about the girl having "true grit" not John.

Re: Movie Switchblades
As for the movie The Searchers- Little Natalie Wood played the niece, Ken Curtis(Festus/Gunsmoke) played Charlie McCorry and to this day I consider The Searchers as the best John Wayne movie of all time. It's a great movie but I think The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and True Grit are just as good....

Re: Movie Switchblades
I've searched the topic a couple of times, but cant find reference to John Wayne's movie THE SEARCHERS , about reclaiming his abducted niece from Commanches. its based on a true story. Anyway, the Duke uses a small switchblade to save a Scottish sheep herder from getting lynched. Oddly enough it lo...

Re: Movie Switchblades
I was contacted through the forums by a prop manager at a movie studio. He wanted to either lease or buy an old switchblade from the early 1900's. I chose not to get involved. Dang, I didn't know you were that famous. I know I'll be dropping his name more than a few times when I see my friends over...

We actually got that one a couple years ago... http://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14846&p=194929&hilit=delicate#p194929 I think there are several scenes later in the movie where Jerry Lewis plays with a stiletto too, unless that was another Jerry Lewis movie that we got. Check out my "Sw...

I have an update on the question we had about the legallity of the weapons in that prop supply company ( http://www.businessinsider.com/the-specialists-rick-washburn-weapons-manufacturers-props-new-york-city-guns-bombs-2011-12?op=1 ). I asked them what they had to do in regards to NY's strict gun an...

Starting at 2:10 in this clip, there are four switchblades:

Unfortunately, we don't get too good a look at any of them.
It's the opening scene from the Jerry Lewis movie The Delicate Delinquent.

The timeline on the show is 1923 yet when he closes his knife it has a bolster release. The show is noted for its accuracy as far as fashions, cars, guns, etc. Little did they know that the switchblade experts found a flaw in its historical information via the switchblade. ...This needs to be broug...

Does anyone have a copy of the ad that was in magazines?
I'm sure I still have the magazines in my closet at my parent's house. Next time I go there, I'm going to see if I can find one of them.

New documentary about The Rolling Stones on HBO called "Crossfire Hurricane." In the beginning of the film, Mick Jagger snorts *something* backstage before a show and uses a Rizzuto to do it. There's a shot of that scene two pages back. Btw, I'm sure that "something" was just Hedges Snuff. Nothing ...

Is their any new updates to this brass knuckles sir? thanks. Hello, If you're asking me, the ones I had were traded a few months ago. If you are asking about the OP, I think that guy is long gone. Welcome to the board, though. If you like switchblades, you should stick around. If you don't like swi...
