Re: Stiletto-Italiano.com

Yes! Some good research gathered on this website ... majority of pics taken from the now-gone fredde10 album from sharperdeals, and frank's now-defunct facebook page. The site's owner also has a number of nice stilettos for sale but frankly I'm a little wary about ordering stuff from Russia...

Re: WTB: 11" bayonet blade, black acrylic stiletto

Be careful with autoknife. I too have needed (wanted) a black acrylic like the movies, and managed to score a 9'' bayo by Frank B a few years ago on sharperdeals, you could try contacting Sara but she takes a while to respond if they're busy.... ....which leads me to point you to contact Walt from L...

Re: Renzo Beltrame 28cm, bayonet, swivel bolster

Thanks Jules! I haven't seen a knife stamped "MADE IN ITALY" that was said to be by Renzo Beltrame, but SKM knives bear this stamp most recently and according to some folks, Renzo makes Armando's 13 inch blades so... But as I said in another post, even if someone else makes specific parts, I ...

Re: Renzo Beltrame 28cm, bayonet, swivel bolster

Renzo Beltrame makes a beautiful stiletto, and any serious Beltrame collector should have at least 1 of his pieces in their stash to compliment the work of Frank and Armando. I haven't found many 11'' Renzo Beltrame knives, so I'd say whatever you got sounds like a real score. From what I've heard t...

Re: gravknife ?

I am a little worried about buying knives in this current knife climate and have lost 1 to customs just in the last month . damn, so sorry to hear this bud, dont worry the knives i've got we discussed aren't going anywhere; are you having problems with standard royal post? or a private courier? Fro...

Re: Latama Flatguards

Just talked with Walt yesterday at the Mystic knife show, sounds like there will be no more picklocks until further notice, meaning also probably no flatguards ... unless somehow they make a flatguard swivel... The good news is that there will be more 9'' Walt's stilettos as soon as next month!

Re: WTB: Renzo Pascotto-made Wasp-Body Flatguard

Please buy it before I do. So you can hear my horror story of dealing with roadsideimports afterwards? As entertaining as it is hearing about others who've fallen into his money traps, I'd rather not be one of them :P It is intriguing to see just how many Walt's he's bought out in the last year or ...

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock

I could very well be wrong, but I get the impression that I couldn't even order a common 9" Frank B swivel bolster from the site. I'm fairly certain I would be directed to the many outlets that sell the brand. I'm sure I've read others stating they buy from Frank directly. Not sure how that works. ...

Re: Frank B stamp

Frank's father, Ivano, and Renzo's father, Danilo were brothers and both worked with BV&F - making Frank, Armando and Paulo cousins with Renzo. Renzo's official business title is literally "Beltrame Renzo of Danilo - S.N.C. of Lorenzo Beltrame & C. Frank's children are Sara and Ivano, the latter pre...

Short of the ATS-34 AB picklock Bernie's been trying to offload for a few months, you're gonna have a bad time looking for 'lettos with working-quality steel.

Re: Frank B stamp

Renzo Beltrame uses a different rendition of "Stiletto Italy" - not sure when he started using it, and although he still does use it, not all of his pieces even get stamps. I doubt anyone has really kept tabs on exactly what his stamp timeline has been, as it appears he apparently doesn't really car...
