Re: Some of my older autos
Nice examples prober996, thanks for sharing. Interesting comments about Rizzutos, Twobit. They seemed to go from essentially giveaway knives to reasonably desirable collector knives through the years, seemingly due to the nostalgia factor. Switchblades were a forbidden fruit of my youth (1960s), som...

Re: Imitation Horn
Mayberry crime update It has been a while and we just can't let the venerable Imitation Horn thread languish. Directly from my town paper (published three times per week): Suspicious Vehicle. The Forsyth County Sheriffs Office responded to a residence on Blackmoor Rd. in regard to a suspicious vehi...

Re: Some people!
Generous move on your part, as stated. I suppose the events validate the old adage "You can't please all of the people all of the time" (no matter how good you are)

Re: Auction sites
I agree with Bill, and will add a caveat. It is best to also know the seller. There are some outstanding sellers, as well as some dishonest ones. My personal experience includes being swindled many times by sellers who tell the truth, and nothing but the truth, but not the whole truth. It can be ben...

Alan,
Hopefully Mickey will jump in here. I seem to remember him being instrumental in identifying the counterfeits, but don't remember the specifics. If I recall, he could tell by looking at the stamping.
