Re: My new “monster” knife
I haven't seen too many Snappys (Snappies? Do you 'ie' the 'y' on a proper noun?) but it seems like most of the ones I have seen had the bolsters. So that might be a rare version of a rare knife. See that little hole next to the bottom pin? There should be a bail there. It is actually a really easy ...

Hello, welcome to the forum. You should post this exact thing in the Buy & Sell section. Someone should have one.

Re: FROSOLONE SWITCHBLADE BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT
I got the book, it's great. I think the best part of the books about the really old knives is when you realize one of the featured knives has made it to your collection.

Re: Steel Lined S.M. Co. 8"
Those scales are definitely plastic. It looks like the same stuff they used on Raimondos. I think the button is plated too like RMs. Chris, does the locktab not have the two lines like most locktabs have? The two Raimondos I have had both did not have the lines in the locktab. Though, those two did ...

Re: Steel Lined S.M. Co. 8"
Steel is not too hard but it's definitely harder to deal with than brass. It seems like they usually used it on really old knives (almost all Frosolones and most flatguard stilettos) but then started almost always using brass once they started doing one-piece top bolsters. There are not a lot of ste...

Re: What is Likely Origin of This Automatic?
Those are really unusual knives. They don't look Italian at all. And they have a pretty unique two sear mechanism that I have only seen on those metal handle Bonsas. Also, the scales are held down at the top by going under the bolster.

Unfortunately, Kugr went MIA around the time he posted that pic. I guess it was just too much for him to handle.

Re: "Geraldine" from "Wait Until Dark"
It looks like some sort of gravity knife with a custom handle put over it. I have never seen any actual knife like that. Here you can see it in action. I do not know what is with that crazy editing effects that have been done to the clip. I think the person who posted it might have been worried abou...

Here are the three models without the inserts. I used to see them all the time when I was a kid and now I can't find the no holes one. Actually, I would also like to find the steel one.
