Re: Green Diploma

Hey brother, I just stumbled on this over on eBay while looking for something else completely different, don't know why it was in my search results but there it was, I had not long before read your post here too. Anyhow, thought I would share as it knocked my socks off: https://www.ebay.com/itm/4036...

Re: What's Your Favorite Lube ---

This topic reminded me of my grandfather, he packed many of his edged weapons in Cosmoline ! He also found it necessary to goop it into the actions of a couple of his older rifles. I will never forget the horrors of that stuff. It's a good metal preservative, I guess, maybe for surplus metals but in...

Re: White unstamped stiletto w/stepped pin

I have an EdgeCo swivel bolster folder, they stuck an Edge medallion where the fire button would go, it's Pearlex and stamped Inox, and I've another that's stamped Rostfrei. Neither is auto and were most likely produced on that contract with Beltrame back in the day. I will get some pics up in the ...

Re: Some of my favorite autos

Nice set brother! I have a couple of those EdgeCo knives. The 2nd and 3rd from the bottom. The little brass and wood leverlock and the pull to deploy knife, or whatever one might call it. I've had them both for decades, bought them back in the day straight from the Edge catalog! Bob has one of those...

Re: More room

I'm always interested in how folks' lay out there workshops, sometimes you can pick up some great ideas from looking at how they've set theirs up. My "shop" building is a 2 story detached garage but it's now full of cars, some motorcycles, parts and a ton of junk leftover from my kids. Luckily, I ha...

No shame Sammy, laws are meant to be broken, otherwise they'd have no reason to exist. ;)

Re: More room

I've never heard anyone complain about expanding their property, whether main house or out-buildings. If you don't mind Bill, when you get it all sorted, could you share some pics of your updated shop?

Take care, Scott.

Nice trio there dude!

I only have 1 GOM stamp in my collection, thanks to a friend here, and for sure it's a well made little knife.

Thanks for sharing the pics!!

Both display boards above are the definition of cool. Those puppies belong in a glassed window box in the center of the living room! Very nice!!

Re: Italian swivel guard

That beefy blade and backspring definitely validates this puppy as being well-built as you stated, I'm curious as to what it cost you. If you don't feel comfortable making that public then I completely understand. Or if you feel comfortable telling me via PM then that would work too. If neither, the...

Re: WTB: Prison Knives

Just be careful if authenticity is important to you, it seems these days there are more "prison" knives being made on the outside than ones made on the inside. It's become a very popular niche style, and almost always tough to authentic. But if that doesn't bother you, then as pointed out above, you...

Re: Italian swivel guard

That's a beauty dude. I really like how the horn aged on it. Looks like a nice Maniago piece. I'll let one of the experts here suggest a date based off the Inox stamp, I can only guess but there are cats here who can nail the year it was assembled in many cases.

Lucky find, I would say. Peace.

Re: Recent find

Sweet little novelty piece, indeed. And in amazing condition. A super cool find, congrats!! I still have my Super Stiletto (in red) that I brought back from Tijuana in my shoe back in the mid to late 80s. I found a street vendor there with all sorts of these knives almost immediately coming off the ...
