Re: Any word on those Beltrame Trap Doors?

That's the comment I was looking for. I'm a little less optomistic now that I see the quote wasn't actually a first hand quote from Frank himself. I was a little suprised when I heard about that as Trap Doors aren't really that popular a knife. The main reason people seem to want them is that they a...

Any word on those Beltrame Trap Doors?

A few months ago, there was a thread about new knives (I can't find it now). In the thread, Frank B posted a comment about a new Trap Door OTF he was working on.

Does anyone know if there has been any updates with that?

Or does anyone even remember that comment?

Re: BladePlay CS

I purchased a couple of Rumbles from BladePlay a couple of weeks ago. They were both extremely stiff and difficult to operate. One was manageable ( barely ), the other was a "two hander." Was it a two-hander for both opening and closing or just for closing? At first when I got mine, I thought it wa...

Re: "Search for 7 inch Rizzuto in White"

I just missed one on Ebay a few weeks ago. I was reluctant to go over $40 because the lady couldn't get it open. It sounded like there was a break in the rocker. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Junk-Drawer-Milano-Pocket-Knife-Boy-Scout-Survival-Military-Toys-Vintage-Emblems-/350652508284?_trksid=p2047675.l2...

Re: new guys seeks advise

Hello, Lampaa; good to have you here. One thing that I always take into account when chosing between two knives is how easy each one is to find because there might be one that you'd be able to find at any time and the other might be one that if you pass on it, you might not find it again for a while...

Re: Can someone explain this ballistic knife?

Whippersnapper is correct, a few years ago the attys. general in both New York and Ill. pursued a couple of dealers for sending knives to customers in their respective states, I believe Phils fine cutlery was one of them Jim Thanks. And do you know if it is merely a case of the laws actually being ...

If anyone is planning on ordering from SKM...

If anyone (regular members only) is planning on ordering from SKM anytime soon and has room for a 115g item before their shipping cost goes up (it's ~$35 for 500g, ~$70 for 1000g, etc) send me a PM if you would let me piggyback on your order.

I'd cover my part of the shipping cost.

Not underage just new to this type collecting and looking for some to start a new collection Ok, no offense meant of course. Just seems odd when someone comes blazing in with 10 threads about buying this and that  I just get the idea he's someone who is excited about the site he's found and p...

Re: Does anyone have a pic of a swinger with brass/wood?

I missed the picture with the "ugly" springs! They weren't really "ugly"; they were just noticable because stuck out unusually far. But they had to be like that because they needed a lot of kick to get them open as the blades on manuals don't swing as easily as on regular autos. So it wasn't like a...

Re: Movie Switchblades

Cool, thanx Jim! The Route 66 ep' I spoke of is titled "Love is a skinny kid." I couldn't find that one on YT, but it may be bundled in multi-episode clip. I found the episode on YT but it's one of those ones where it says the clip it the entire ~50 min episode but then when you click on it, it is ...

Re: Movie Switchblades

8) :o That is funny, 'cos in Route 66 young Burt was also Brando-ed up in a black leather jacket & jeans turned up @ the cuff over his boots. :) That was actually probably like his thing at that point. Lots of young actors (especially from that time) got parts because the producers were looking to ...

Re: Movie Switchblades

I didn't know that, thanx. I just saw a baby faced Burt Reynolds in an ep' of Route 66. Looks like one of his 1st roles. Oh, man...that's the craziest coincidence (well, maybe not the craziest); I was just watching the Twilight Zone marathon that they have every new years day and there was an episo...

Re: Movie Switchblades

There is what looks like a Korean Rizzy in the trailer for the movie "Haunted House". It's only on screen for a few seconds; I couldn't get that great a shot of it. Man, how do those terrible parody movies make money? I mean, who goes to see those? They must make money because they just keep making ...

Re: Movie Switchblades

(Stacey Keach -the poor man's Tom Selleck) That's funny because Tom Selleck got his big start as the poor man's Burt Reynolds. They wanted to make another Reynolds/Reed buddy comedy to cash in on Smokey and the Bandit but Burt Reynolds didn't want to do it so they went with Tom Selleck, which was h...
