Teddy, You wrote "And from what I have read Florida isn't the only state to have benefitted from the "shall issue" carry permits........everywhere it's been implemented violent crime has dropped drastically......". That is a good observation. I live in North Carolina, which is alsp a right-to-carry ...

Bill, The Mini-UDT is available either with or without a safety. I paid for one with a safety, but was sent a knife without one. :x However, the area around the button is recessed a bit, so I don't think that accidental firing would be an issue. But as you stated, there is great value is psychologic...

Collecting versus using

In a previous post I mentioned the evolution of my thoughts regarding the actual use of stilettos and leverlocks. The short of it is that these are the types I collect. However, I do not want to subject them to use and abuse. Therefore, upon receipt they are cleaned, polished, and put in a display c...

I suspect that the upcoming Leverletto would meet these requirements. However, I do not plan to use mine for any duty heavier than opening boxes which contain even more switchblades. That, of course, assumes that I can get one. I also suspect that there may be supply / demand imbalance for a while, ...

Robert,

It appears that you are a candidate for ATS-34 or Damascus blade stilettos.

Valner, Here is how things progressed for me. When I first realized that I could get switchblades (a little over a year ago) I had a very high level of enthusiasm, perhaps like you do now. To me at that time: switchblade = stiletto. Initially, I planned to actually use my stilettos. Shortly after re...

Valner, Go to the upper right corner of this screen and select SKM or Tinys for ATS-34 stilettos. Regarding leverlocks, the Italians are a good bargain. These can also be obtained from SKM and Tiny's, as well as from Massaro. The Old Fashioned is a personal favorite of mine. Hubertus leverlocks from...

Falcon, I can understand your frustration. My Dalton Companion developed a sticky lock (liner lock) problem the day it arrived at my house. The problem has since been fixed by the application of graphite from a pencil. Given that Pro-tech isn't exactly in the business of making $5 clones, and that i...

J-man, You are right in that you would probably roll on the floor with laughter at what we in North Carolina call a snowstorm. Actually, I was in New Jersey where they are used to more snow. They had 7-10 inches, which I suppose is light to moderate by your standards. Actually, here in N.C. we had f...

Waya,

How do the new ones compare to the antique? What tang stamp is on the antique? How thick are the liners on the antique?

Bill, Tydy, Ms.Debbie,

Another fine issue! I was planning on atending the Pigeon Forge show, but had to travel for work that week. After seeing the pictures from the show, all I could think about was that instead of being in a snowstorm goint to work, I could have been at the show. :x

Mr_Guano, I too have been helped a good bit by forum members. One nice thing about the worldwide web is that it allows those of us who enjoy collecting to communicate freely, easily, and quickly. One not so nice thing about a public forum is that it is open to invasion by trolls, as you mentioned. Y...

Dave,

Waya makes a good point, try selecting Tiny's from the Blade Alliance selections.
