Re: Knife shop dreams

If you look back on the bed. . . . you'll see more shrimp. . .
The LapTop camera does not have good resolution.
You can't see the shrimp details, the folds that make the gills.
or the little notched claw feet.

Also a recent photo of me, with a new scraggly grey half-beard.

Knife shop dreams

Well . . First a disclaimer. . . . I consider myself a SharperDeals cult member. and am using TalkBlade as an emergency communication channel. I sort of feel like a Traitor, publishing my cartoons here, . . . Before SharperDeals Posts. But, I can't log on. . .I'm on a borrowed Laptop that has a "Net...

Re: Frenchi94 switchblade collection

That first Maltese picklock made me go into a trance . . I just stared at it for at least 2 minutes, dreaming about where it's been. I love WWII rifles with black steel and checkered walnut grips, like a 1911 Colt. Gov. That maltese and grip is amazing. I had once mentioned to Walt (Latama LLC) abou...

Re: Stereo Toilet

University of Pittsburgh, Oakland campus,(Pittsburgh) Litchfield Tower A . . . 13th floor . . . (floors 11-12 and 13 where "the house of the Midnight Hour") The elevators only stopped every 3 floors, 3,6,9,12,15. So i had to walk up one flight. But I used to LOVE running down 13 floors to go to brea...

Stereo Toilet

I'm sitting here bored in the nursing home. Looks like another 3 weeks at least.. . .stillon antibiotics. I listen to music on a laptop with no ear buds. And I found out that if you place your laptop on the portable bedside toilet, it becomes an "Echo / Reverb' chamber. And i thought , it's been so ...

Re: Some people!

I've had the "more power" thing said to me. I have to tell them, if you install a killer kickspring in a vintage repair. . . it's going to self destruct in 20 openings or less. . . . Just be happy you are not picking the blade out from closed with a paper clip. It's like putting Nitrous in an old ch...

Re: Hellraiser

As I recall, there were two styles, ( not counting red and green versions ) There was this version with fixed guard . . . And a swing-guard version. . . This was one of those knives I wanted but never bought, I knew they are flimsy like a Rizzuto. I have a similar manual folder sold by Halcion. . . ...

Just signed up for another 4 weeks in the nursing home. $1400.00 room / food/ WiFi & Cable TV but no Meds and Dry goods/bandages etc. It's 2:18 am and everything hurts so much I can't sleep. Re: Movie flintlock bayonet switchblade

I love the TV series Sharpe's rifles (all the Sharpe's Honour, etc.) I figured it was a studio prop. In some scenes there are rows of soldiers holding rifles, and if you stop / freeze frame and look close some of the fake rifles are so ridiculous. My late father , back in the 1920's collected arrowh...

Re: Taiwanese rehab

Why you have a hollow rivet for a pivot pin. This knife is designed as a throw-away utility knife. People will scrape and pry with the blade, not baby it. The bolsters are thin metal. . . much like an early Shure-Snap. The hollow rivet will keep the liners pinched tightly to the blade. The bolsters ...
