but the friend that "borrowed it" and bent the backspine opening a box
did not use a sawing motion and tried to straight drag it thru cardboard.

Re: So what you all going to do?
We had mostly peppers, which we seeded, cut up and froze. . . We have about a dozen nice sized Butternut Squash (hard shell, will keep unrefrigerated at least 3 months.) there are still at least 20 still on the vine, but smaller. . ., they are winter squash and will keep on the vine right up until s...

Re: 11-inch picklocks
I agree. . .the proportions of an 11 inch look more pleasing to MY eye. 11 inch picklocks are the Iconic 50's knife and your's are wonderful examples. Although a 11 inch has "the look" 9 inch is more practical and more stable.' I've loaned (at work for 60 seconds) an 11 incher to a friend, and they ...

there is an older model that is a genuine Latama . . .that most certainly has Nickel bolsters. these are photos from the other website, of the actual knife on a Sheldon Levy Newsletter. so there is a very high probability some minis are nickel. . . but when they changed. . .I couldn't even guess. I'...

I have a mini mago that's broke. . . .and I stripped the screw socket with the wrong allen wrench.
too lazy to find my multi-point screwdriver set.
it now sits in a box. . . broken. . .
I play with the bigger 11 inch version , , now and then.

military equipment bar codes pre-date. . . . government legislated food and drug bar codes . . . .which pre-date general merchandise bar codes. They are not all the same stripe pattern or size. All readers do not read all bar codes. I moved boxes at a helicopter base for my National Guard duty with ...

In the other website, the Rizzuto images covered some 20 pages of variants. the words rizzuto estiletto was sometimes mis-spelled. the words appeared on knives without swing-guards, or were on the oval button wasp-waist My own pieces, on a flat bed scanner, that still are in fair shape and flick dep...

The problem is manufacturing. Anyone with a shop these days is looking to pay rent, payroll, insurance, not keep raw material laying about. pinching pennies everywhere they can. . . not spend any time on research and development. Try getting someone to make a replacement tilt bolster with a differen...

Re: Today's haul from the flea
My dad was a PFC in WWII , medical discharge just before VJ day. He brought home an all metal Edgemaster single blade with a tail end bail. Looked like a paratrooper issue. But all metal edgemasters were NEVER military issue. He bought it at a PX in Kansas. He was never "issued" an automatic. Anyone...

Fishtail ~ Is there any way to distinguish the (orange) military-issue knives from knives available to civilians? Is there any way to tell whether the knife pictured here was actually issued to a pilot? That is a Big question. . . . . I have a non folding Hook shroud cutter from a real pilot, it's ...

Aaaaagh . . .a coricama mild steel in citric acid. . . you're gonna have to inspect it every week for at least 10 years. I wrecked a stainless 11 inch modern tilt bolster stabbing pickles in a pickle jar. Left it in my camping gear for 2 months. Didn't hurt the blade, the the brass liners kept growi...

Re: I just purchased this Asian OTF from Wackysharperboy
I don't think it's that new. . .I had to look and check at mine. see if it was different. Yours has the newer screw heads with the triangles. . . mine are the old style 3 hole wrench. I bought several two years ago, mine favorite is anodized red. . . same surface texture. Mine has a spear blade. it ...
