Re: Mike "Tank" Fisher

Rest in Peace Tank. . . I remember your photo in a cowboy hat with your six shooter. I was impressed with those thin-line Case conversions where the knife behaved like a manual folder, . . . then you could press the "secret" shield button for automatic release. . . But so much of your work is beauti...

Re: Info on batwing

email the photo to katrencik7@verizon.net I will resize it and post it I don't understand the term Pre-Rizzuto, , , and I've seen a lot of images. other than the lock-back swingguards that look identical to Rizzuto's I thought the coffin bolster or the step bolster Rizzys were the 1st gen. Re: I need help identifying and aging a Stiletto.

That is an Edge Co kit model 120. . . in the 1980's. over the sales availability years the quality declined as production went up. The first generation was very high quality, all italian made. Hard perfect polished factory sharp blades. The liners were thick brass. They were all wood scales and bras...

Re: Anyone got the new AGA Campolin ''Pattada''?(not happy)

I don't have a single "perfect" knife in my collection. (But I'm poor, only bought one real Microtech in my life.) Aside from the fact you can't buy a $22 stiletto in the mail anymore. I never expected perfection. . . .or even a better "Bang for your Buck". I always assumed safeties would be loose, ...

Re: Mild Latama corrections

Not that I would know how they assembled them.. . . But always thought they should pin the blade pivot pin FIRST. Then lay the backspring and align the blade. And clamp it straight . . . and only THEN. . put the back spine pin and bottom bolster pin in place. In the SharperDeal photo archives, tours...

Re: Three more guardian clones

They don't inspect knives. . .and then later mark them if they "meet spec" The horn blemish happened after the fact. . .and can be polished out. The unmarked blade simply means the knife was not expected to be exported. or was not part of a contracted lot a salesman negotiated . More than likely it ...

Re: Stiletto Dolphine 13 inch from Maniago

I always thought the kickspring poking out was traditional in picklocks. All of my Transitionals have that. . . I never thought it was a distraction. The first photo of a dark horn. . .I really thought it was a plastic scale. . . until I saw the 2nd photo of the blonde horn scales. They both look en...
