Gurkha? Kukri? Sword?

This little jewel has been in my family for over 35 years. My cousin in California belonged to a biker club called the Hessians (West Coast) and he gave this to me many years ago. Does anyone know anything about it or what it's value may be? It has a buffalo horn handle with inlays and the aluminum ...

Re: My Kalashnikov 74 "tactical" arrived today!

Speaking of AUS-8 steel- Is there a difference in AUS-8 and AUS-8A? I have seen it printed both ways. Just curious. I had a 40 something dollar Taiwan liner a few years back with the AUS-8A steel and it held a surpisingly good edge. As for the Bokers,I agree they are excellent, inexpensive knives and...

Re: NEED HELP...DO THESE KNIVES REALLY EXIST

I recall seeing something like that. The one I saw was in a black steel tube-like body with checkering(?) maybe. I know very little about it but they do exist for sure. The nastiest OTF I have ever seen was a Russian Prison knife. It looked like the old pogo-sticks with dual springs and a sturdy ste...

Re: Frank B Teflon Tactical

"Little screws" means it is a "Switch" model NOT a "Classic Stiletto" I believe the "Switch" is only made in 9". You are correct sir. Also this style is different in that it has a two-piece spring so it could be repaired if the spring ever malfunctioned. Another neat feature of this knife is...

Re: Query/Rizzuto Estileto

think about having to pay 1500 bucks or even much more for a 13 inch LATAMA that sold for prolly 8 to ten bucks new in the fifties. Yeah and in 1957 a new Corvette cost 3100 ( I had to google that) Today 3 grand might get you the hubcaps but it's doubtfull. I know this is old news to most of you he...

Re: Query/Rizzuto Estileto

That's funny stuff Krakenten,I remember that scene in Beverly Hills Cop with the Rizzuto. A few years ago I ended up with an old toolbox my dad got from his nieghbor's garage sale. I'm digging through there getting any quality stuff out,I think there was some Klein tools and a few old Zippo lighters...

Re: It gets WORSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bitter. That is an understatement to say the least. The more I hear on this subject the less I care for the man....if that's possible. Oh goody,he is spending a few more gazillion dollars on "electric" cars. Yaaaaay, now we have something to run over with our Ford trucks. I better get out of here bef...

Frank B Teflon Tactical

I am asking 50 bucks for this knife and I know this sounds like a lot but if I can't get that price I will keep it. I believe they are 59 at the Frank Beltrame website but you don't have to worry about the shipping cost from Italy. As all my Italians, this one is mint and has been stored in the open ...

Re: Query/Rizzuto Estileto

That's a pretty touching story,I admire someone for having a passion no matter what the subject. Truth be known,an old wobbly Rizzie can give you a second belly button as quick as a Frank B but I say that in jest because so many non-knife-collectors only see the switchblade as a weapon. I see them a...

Re: Is the term "switchblade" derrogatory?

Oh man I almost cried reading that bit in xlr8's reply. The part where he said "no more of a weapon than the hammer in my bag" I hope you said that with an evil look in your eye. This is a great topic because I have given this some thought. I have (jokingly) pulled out my giant Harsey tactical folde...

Re: Query/Rizzuto Estileto

Right now I have about 60/70 autos, mostly Italians and a few higher-end ones like MT and Al Mar but the only two swingguards I have are two lockback style by Jndiana. Both are very nice, one with beautiful stag the other with blonde. Niether have a real hard snap but always open flawlessly. Mabye it'...

Re: Query/Rizzuto Estileto

OK,that takes care of any desire to find a Rizzuto...sentimental or not. At this point, unless one fell in my lap,I will continue collecting Frank's and Angelo's and let's face it,these knives are pretty and fun and I enjoy collecting them but in a 'real' situation I'm gonna hope and pray I have my S...

Re: Query/Rizzuto Estileto

Wow,thanks a million for the replies, but I am new here so much of the input did not help much as I am not familiar with the local terms and such. As for the "Bullfighter" I simply threw that in the mix of the Rizzuto post. Correct me if I am wrong but my guess is that the "Bullfighter" is a true Mex...
