Re: Latama 13"
Thank you sir. The knife itself has an interesting history. The man I bought it from acquired the knife from a friend who was a State Trooper officer. The officer was called to a truck stop where a truck driver was wacked out on 'speed' and causing problems. The officer tried to apprehend the guy an...

Latama 13"
Hi Gents - I saw mention of a Latama on SD recently, so I pulled this one out to share. The 3rd auto I bought when I started collecting way back when. The owner of a local gun shop had this one big in a display case and it was not for sale, I tried several times. Then a year or so later I noticed I ...

Thanks Thom. Do not recall the exact year but I bought this 11", but I did buy it before I bought some Walt's 9", and the 9" are dated 2010 and 2012.thom wrote:That's a beauty. Any idea what year it was made? I have a Ram's horn with same stampings. Are they the first of Walt's?

Re: Walt's 11"
Nice looking knife. Walt offers a first rate product. A while back I asked him about the W and he told me that on his earlier offerings whoever produced them for him forgot the W. DonC Agree, a very nice, thick and sturdy knife. And thanks for the info on the missing 'W'. This was the 1st Walt's I ...

Good eye JV, and interesting difference. I looked at a couple Walt's 9" and the 'w' is there.

Walt's 11"
Hi Gents -
A nice 11" bolster release with Brazilian horn. A thick, heavy knife and the hardest firing Walt's I have. Has a great blade and smooth, tight lockup.
Cheers -

Re: Older 8" Italian Swingers
For sure this one is shaped slightly different. I think they are all 1960's. Perhaps some experts here know the answer. I'll take a group pic and then put them back in the safe.

Re: Older 8" Italian Swingers
Here are the 9" swingers that I bought around the same period as the 8" pieces. Both of these fire extremely hard, in fact, some of the hardest firing older autos I have.
