Re: Sweden balisong
I don't know how accurate this information is, but the knife is almost identical to yours (different handle material)- https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/products/1067858/ Looks like they used the description from this other one (slightly different version)- https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/prod...

Re: Grandpa's Coricama Switchblade
My advice, if you are interested in preserving it's value (and there might be collectors interested in it) is- 1. Store the knife open to reduce stress on the sear (release mechanism). 2. Don't fire it (open and close it). The more you fire it the greater the risk of breaking the spring. And a knife...

Re: Luigi Guerra
Killgar that knife in the YouTube vid is wicked fast and looks solid as a rock! Thanks daddyloko :D . It IS both fast and solid (the Ti-Lite is a very solid stiletto to begin with). I always dreamed of owning a truly heavy duty stiletto switchblade, so I ended up building them myself by converting ...

Re: Beltrame Family
I'm hoping this isn't the case. I've noticed they've tried driving towards more modern efforts above and beyond the traditional styles yet traditionals haven't been fully abandoned. Then there are the hybirds or middle-producers (Dolphin), I can't find a fitting term for their endeavor but can say ...

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
What is the overall length of the Dalton Seal? I think it might be a Baby Seal. The Baby Seal has an overall length of 7.5", and typically has 5 handle grooves on each side, whereas the larger Dalton Navy Seal typically has 6 grooves. There are other makers of the same style of knife that have diffe...

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
The knife pictured below (yours) is the same design as a Paragon X-O Lite, but it doesn't have any blade markings, so I don't know if it's genuine. I can't find any reference to "sterile" versions.

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
Apologies about the Protech, apparently they make two sizes of the "Jazz". I couldn't find any definitive sold listings for blue 909 Jazz Godfather's, but two turquoise ones sold recently for $265 and $395. Condition was probably what made the difference. The blue ones originally sold new for around...

Yep, I agree. You spent a heck of a lot of time on this thread and have been very helpful since you have been here. I nominate you to take my moderator job. Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I must decline. Responsibility is something I try to avoid as much as p...

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
Thanks! It was bugging the crap out of me. I took a look on the Arizona custom site. I didn't know, or forgot, that Paragon made some of his autos. I remember the Al Mar connection. Been awhile. You're welcome. Here's a pic of one off AC with the similar handle features (best I could do, AC won't l...

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
Yeah, just got it, it's another Harold Corby custom. There's a Corby on Arizona Customs with a similar handle and button/screw configuration but with a different blade.whippersnapper wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 7:31 pm Kilgar, do you know what that micarta scaled knife is?

Re: Identifying & Pricing My Father’s Collection
Again, thank you all, but also a big thanks to you for taking the time to run through in detail what you could identify in the first pics. You're quite welcome. A few more- I see that a Microtech HALO 3 like yours (stonewash serrated tanto) sold last year for $995. A Boker Top Lock 2 just like your...
