Thank you for the tip mrbigg. And I thought it was just me, too much cleaning and waxing, and just mine, bought inexpensively, $65, over the net. Vagrant, I'm happy to have a LLO. Bill Deshivs walks the earth like a giant in my opinion. I have solved all problems with the knives as I've put them und...

Thank you for the warning. Valve compound for valves. I cleaned and worked the blade and all moving parts with alcohol. Then I dried it all off. Before putting on the White Lithium I noticed this when firing: Push the lever slightly until just reaching the sweet spot and then no further she fires pe...

Valve Grinding Compound
My beautiful new Leverletto works pretty well. However, about 3 0f 10 times it would stick open in the 9:00 or 11:00 positions instead of snapping full open and locking. I tried a little light gun oil impregnated with teflon and it got worse. Next, I tried Zymol cleaner wax and it got worse. I flush...

Thank you Tanto
Received Forum Blade #12 today just a week after transacting. Feels like my Birthday and Christmas rolled into one. The knife is outstanding, tight fit and smooth finish, quick authoritative action with clean firm lockup, favorable weight and balance in the hand and it just looks damn nice. Installa...

Thank you kindly for the feedback. Is there a stilletto kit you could recommend because I'd like to try customizing one. With the kit I'd have templates to work with. I'd like to get my hands dirty with some of the materials we've been talkin about. Brass, steel, titanium or ..... Scales, I'm thinki...

Thank you Bill. So the steel liner provides structural strength for the knife. I thought that aesthetics, not performance, might have been the controlling factor. Mr. Guano: The challenge/fun in the Butterfly is avoiding the knuckle crunch. The spring loaded Butterfly may have to be tossed into the ...

Brass liner vs stainless steel liner
What are the issues involved in deciding which liner material to use in a spring knife?
Your brilliant Leverletto, on the top of my wish list, uses stainless steel and I wondered why?
And, unrelated, how about a spring fired butterfly?
All the best,
Steve

Howdy, Hello all and thank you for this terrific forum. I'm out of lurk mode. I've been checking in at http://www.akc.it/mbody.asp and nobody seems to be at home. They don't respond to my email. What's the scoop...gone to the Olympics? And, I heard a rumor that the Germans will not be manufacturing ...
