Re: old frosolone? pick lock knife

As you know, oldies are not my forte. It's old, but not perfect. I'm thinking $600-700, but I don't know. Is it really a Piscatelli? Does that make it worth big bucks?

If all else fails, buy it in any scales and send to Rick Greene for a rescale. I have his contact info. He used to do work for Rick Giroux. He does gorgeous amboyna burl scales. Ebony should not be a problem.

Re: Kris Blade Shapes

Hey Sam,

I'm not much interested in having it built, but I am sure JimBrown257 would whip it out in short order. Did you see the post on the last two he built for me?

Re: Kris Blade Shapes

You know how it is with engineers; we can never quit messing with things. I thought about what Jeremy had said via email and what Jerry said here, and decided that I really needed a smoothed 5 hump version, a bit narrower (9/16" instead of 5/8"). I also changed the proportions a bit to 175, 287.5, 4...

Re: Kris Blade Shapes

https://images2.imgbox.com/03/20/Lc6Xnvmi_o.jpg Here's what I came up with. When you were describing the shape of the Rizzuto blade and the proportions you were working from the four hump, but when you were talking about not exceeding the bar stock size or the baseline grind you used a 6 hump. So, ...

Re: Kris Blade Shapes

Disclaimer . . .I'm not feeling well, , , so don't scrutinize my drawing too much, this was done in photoshop, not autocad , , , so there is no accuracy, just imagery. I kinda hacked up an old sketch I did for Sheldon Levy years ago to demonstrate my points. I just fudged in some curves. . . .the c...

Re: guests

I have been promoting the forums and a list of reference books through FB for years. I typically PM all the noobs requesting an email and then send boilerplate emails with links and explanations. Mostly they tell me that they tried to join but approvals were slow or non-existant. Worse, being unfami...

Kris Blade Shapes

A few days back I spoke about creating a Kris blade profile by superimposing a sine wave onto a symmetric blade and the possibilities of creating infinite variations based on the wavelength and amplitude of the sine wave. That is probably too technical for most folks to visualize, so here are some e...

Re: guests

I check in several times each day but there is nothing new to see. I have stopped posting any new stuff as it largely goes unread and uncommented. My group on Fecesbook, Artistic Switchblade Knives, has over 1000 members but probably 25 active ones. I mostly post there.

Re: Fantasy Dragon Sword Cane

Almost sure I know what this is. Do the letters CB appear on the hilt? It's a Conan the Barbarian fantasy sword, they sold for around $200 back in the day.
