Re: This OJD or DJD INOX tang stamp is proving elusive...
That’s a really nice knife, krhastie! Such a shame a piece of the horn scale is missing on the back. Somebody needs to fill in that gap with a material that’s similar. I have the missing piece! As much as I’d like, I’m not going to try to fix myself. I’ve done a fair amount or fine art restoration ...

I found one (O.J.D stamp), don't know how I missed it. Here's a link- https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/catalog/71015-antique-60s-era-15-transitional-stiletto-genuine-brazilian-horn-nbsp- I don't know what length yours is (that one is 15"), and condition will affect value, but that one sold for ...

Re: Preliminary photos of Dad's collection
It says right under her original post that she edited her post twice. I don't know why but a moderator didn't do it. Bernie just quit being a jerk and starting trouble. Thx for your comment, whippersnapper. I took them down to curtail the transparent pms from lowballers. Nice people finish first in...

Re: Bonsa trapdoor
I have several different Bonsa OTFs. There was a smaller model with a more rounded handle. The smaller model was kept in production by Robert Klaas after acquisition of Bonsa. The Klaas model was painted, rather than chrome plated. I'll try to dig out some pictures. I think the last one with the go...

Re: Preliminary photos of Dad's collection
It's humorous that some of the dealers are angry that we are helping you with your knives! There is one that I would like to see a better picture of- it's the metal OTF/gravity between the Bonsa chromed lever lock and the candy stripe Imperial. Thank you, Mr.DeShiv, as always for your astute input.

Re: Intro from new fan of TalkBlade
Great story, and great photo. My fascination with switchblades began as a child as well. One of my uncles on my fathers side was an outlaw biker, and during the short time that I knew him he carried one of two 11" Italian pick lock stiletto switchblades. I looked forward to his visits like Christma...

Re: This OJD or DJD INOX tang stamp is proving elusive...
You may have already discovered this in your research, but "Inox" is short for inoxidable, which is just another word for stainless steel which was commonly used on Italian switchblades. So you will find plenty of references for that word. I did a hard search online for any knife with "D.J.D" or "O...

No minions found in second box - but that razor was in it! Ian's photo is better, but appear to be almost identical pieces!

Thank you, Mr.DeShivs. I've seen you all talking a lot about importers so I will research that route. Again, thank you!Bill DeShivs wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 7:29 pm Many, if not most, of the name stamps on Italian stilettos are markings of the seller rather than the maker
